I am a Nigerian living in Diaspora (UK).  I have recently secured employment with a Lagos based company.  My responsibility is to head up and grow a division, which is in its second year of operation and is looking to expand products lines, increase sales and in turn contribute to the company’s turnover.  I spent September 2011 in Lagos, studying and testing the market/strategies.  I will be returning to Lagos later this month to hit the ground running in early November 2011.  To cut the long story short, my proposal to you, is this:

I am looking for individuals/companies interested in distributing the company’s products.  The company was established 40 years ago, and is a household name in its industry.
I estimate that your start up capital could be as low as 100,000 Naira, depending on whether you already own or will need to purchase, a suitable truck (Heavy Goods Vehicle) for product distribution.  As the products sell extremely quickly, we currently have distributors purchasing stock on a daily basis; with an approximate profit margin for distributors of 20%.  You will be responsible for identifying your market and sustaining it with  regular product supply.

I believe that this is a great opportunity for Nigerians at home as well as Nigerians abroad looking to relocate, but are unsure of what to do for a living on their return.
