Why can't we have vehicle that run or water instead of gas? What if there were substances that can aid combustion if added to water?

Nigeria would become.broke

Saudi Arabia would become broke

Russia would be broke

Largely as it stands, the world economy revolves around fossil fuel!

Until dia is a shift, such engines would never see the light of the day

in a decades time or more we'd see more electric cars. Eventually, the use of petrol vehicles will be phased out. In all, I think it'd be nice to have a substitute for petrol. It probably already exists. Why it's to be discovered is because the world as it is today has created too much dependency on it, hence no one's even trying to explore if there are other options.

Elect cars are yet to stand the test of time.

Although there are many electric machineries like forklifts, mobile elevators, pallet movers etc operating effectively in Nigerian factories and warehouses, they certainly are not without their challenges.

Especially in the area of durability for long-term workability,
spare availability,
delicate nature and complexity of technical aspect,
downtime as a result of recharging,
tow becomes necessary on a low battery faraway from recharging terminal,
availability of constant power etc...

Not alot of individuals can endure these challenges in personal capacity when they arise.

Options will come!

However the powers that be would silence the options.

Think of it bro,
A small increase in conversion of generators to run on cooking gas. Naija government systematically increased gas fee.

If dem born dem well, let dem reduce cooking gas to 250 naira per kg

Lol. You do have a point. It means bad business for them. This over dependency on crude is what's killing this great nation. There's many other sectors the government can make more than twice what it generates from exporting crude oil. But a friend of mind would always say. " them put mouth for hose just the suck the oyel"

Still, they're becoming commoner by the day. I think you'd find a lot of electric cars on Nigerian road if we didn't have electricity problem.
