I don't believe sim will be loyal to wike for 8 years, most governors fall out with their god fathers after one year. For now he is doing fine because he recicled all wike's commissioners and is funding all wike's projects. Its very clear that wike has a strangle hold on him.

Its just a matter of time and will will know if he will be loyal for 8 years

On behalf of my humble self and the good people of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, I, Distinguished Sen. Charles O. heartily extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to His Excellency; Sir Amaopusenibo Siminalayi Fubara, KSC DSSRS, Executive Governor of Rivers State and his esteemed entourage as he marks his Administration’s 100 days in office with the commissioning of the Omoku-Eligwu-Krigina road project in our beloved community. We are honored to have your Excellency visit us on Saturday, the 23rd of September 2023 by 11 am.

As we celebrate this milestone, we kindly request your consideration and support in the dualization and construction of the Omoku-Ikiri-Elele road. This road serves as a vital lifeline for our community, connecting us to neighboring areas and facilitating commerce, trade, and social interactions.

By dualizing and upgrading the Omoku-Ikiri-Elele road, we can unlock its full potential and enhance connectivity, safety, and economic growth in our region. It would greatly benefit our citizens, improve transportation efficiency, and create opportunities for increased investment and development.

In the last 100 days, he has given a marching order to the Primary Healthcare Management Board to step up efforts to revamp and ensure effective access to primary healthcare services in all the communities.

In response, the Board has renovated not less than ten primary healthcare centres across the three senatorial districts of the State located at Elekahia, Rumuodomaya, Okehi, Oyigbo, Gokana, Opobo, Ahoada, Mina-ama, Okwuzi, and Okochiri communities.

His administration has completed the reconstruction, upgrading, and equipping of two secondary healthcare hospitals: the Kelsey Harrison Memorial Hospital and the Dental, Maxillofacial, ENT, and Ophthalmology Hospital, to further strengthen the State's capacity for the provision of affordable and quality healthcare services to all residents.

These important hospitals with a combined 150-bed spaces and state-of-the-art equipment are due to reopen their doors to provide quality healthcare services to the public soon after they are inaugurated in a few days.

Additionally, the Dental, Maxillofacial, ENT, and Ophthalmology hospital has been designated as an annex of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital and used for medical research and the training of medical students at Rivers State University.

I'm not sim Fubara, the truth is government cannot do everything at once, the Ahoada to omoku project is currently ongoing and it's been constructed by Julius berger, omoku to egbema too is currently ongoing being handled by setraco, both dualized roads, your requests are noble but onnelga is not the only LGA in the state, funds are limited and other LGA'S also needs government intervention. I'm not speaking for the government but considering the fact that two capital intensive projects are currently ongoing in onnelga, it'll take some time before fresh projects are awarded in your LGA. Hopefully, someone sees your post and your request is acted upon. Cheers!

Dear vanitybutiwanti,

Thank you for sharing your personal perspective on the issue of road projects and the limitations faced by the government in addressing infrastructure needs across all LGAs. While I understand your point about the limited funds and the need to prioritize projects, I would like to address the issue of unequal distribution of capital-intensive projects.

You can admit that the previous administration concentrated more than 75% of its capital-intensive projects on just two LGAs in Rivers State and its equally worthy to note that these same LGAs are among the list of projects to be commissioned by the current administration as part of activities to mark its 100 days in office. Such a disproportionate allocation of resources raises concerns about fairness, equity, and the inclusive development of all LGAs within the state.

As citizens, it is our responsibility to question and hold our government accountable for their actions and decisions. While we acknowledge that funds are limited, it is crucial for the government to ensure an equitable distribution of resources across all LGAs, considering the specific needs and aspirations of each community.

To address your second question, I do not have access to information on the current state budget or the percentage spread across all LGAs of concentration of capital-intensive projects. However, it is essential for the government to be transparent in its budgetary allocations and ensure that funds are allocated in a manner that promotes balanced development and benefits all LGAs.

By advocating for fair and equitable distribution of capital projects, we are not disregarding the needs of other LGAs. Instead, we are emphasizing the importance of inclusive development and ensuring that every community receives its fair share of resources and attention.

It is our collective duty to continue raising awareness, engaging in constructive dialogue, and urging the government to address these disparities. Together, we can work towards a more balanced and inclusive development agenda for all LGAs in Rivers State.

Thank you for your engagement in this discussion, and let us strive for a more equitable and prosperous future for our entire state.

Best regards,

Best regards,

Good day, over 50% of the total population in the state live in those 2 LGA'S so it's expected for more projects to be done in those areas. On this thread, I wrote about a friend from Ogoni having a property in rumuigbo, when I was in the University a couple of years ago, my landlord was from omoku and the house was in the uniport area, he also had a personal house in phalga. Many people accuse the Government of citing the bulk of the projects in those two LGA'S but oblivious to the reasons it appears to be like that. If you become governor tomorrow, you'll probably do the same, those two LGA'S are the heart of the state and if the government doesn't fix infrastructure in those areas, the whole state will be in disarray. In my opinion all the Major and internal Roads in ObioAkpor and phalga should be tarred and you'll agree with me that with the purported concentration of projects in those LGA'S, all the roads are far from being fixed.

I believe Fubara will do more, he doesn't come across as a flamboyant person and the mark up or profits on his projects won't be astronomical. Reason I hold this view, the omoku to egbema road was awarded for N13b by the previous administration but the contractors defaulted, Fubara reawarded the same project to setraco at N7b and N5b has been paid. Fubara is not a big man governor, he just wants to do his work and go. In the coming months, all LGA'S will be carried along in his administration.

Thanks.

Meanwhile, here's a list of some of wike's project.
