Abubakar Badaru: Nigeria Needs Prayers To End Insecurity by Racoon(m): 3:59am On Sep 09, 2023
Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru, has appealed to Nigerians to sustain prayers for the current administration, and particularly, those at the helm of the nation’s security.

Badaru made the appeal at his office in Abuja, yesterday, when he received a delegation from Jigawa State, led by Governor Umar Namadi. The minister stressed that given the complexities of security challenges and other aspects of national development, “one could not but ask for prayers to succeed.”

He affirmed that security hurdles before the authorities are enormous, but noted that the government is determined to surmount them, even as he urged Nigerians to support the leadership to entrench peace and stability.

Speaking earlier, Namadi, who led traditional and religious leaders, members of the business community, and others on the visit, said they had come to congratulate the minister on his appointment and assure him of their support.

He said: “It is not only to say congratulations, but also to pray for you. We knew how you succeeded as governor of our state. We also pray for you to achieve the same or even more in this new task as Minister of Defence.”

Namadi reminded Badaru that Nigerians have high expectations that he would deal with insecurity, adding: “Once you can do this, it covers every aspect of the nation.”

Always using religion as the opium of the masses. This is the usual rhetorics when they demonstrate extreme cluelessness, ineptitude and incompetency.

They don't need any fucking prayer or fasting in order to entrench and perpetuate their stench oozing corruption of stealing monies meant to provide security .

Meanwhile, they still goes about with armed-to-the-teeth retinue of security agencies providing security for them. The poor downtrodden masses are simply @ the mercy of kidnapping gang of terrorists the same top shots government officials said are just doing business.

"More individuals and organisations now agree that the ruling party is the direct sponsor of insecurity and terrorism in Nigeria. We know very clearly that the Fulani terrorists in Nigeria were brought in from Mali, Sierra Leone, etc., by the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2015 elections as was confessed by Alhaji Kawu Baraje, former APC leading national chieftain.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo previously declared: “Fulanisation, Islamisation Agenda Going On In Nigeria”. We know that Nigerian security forces know exactly where the terrorists are camped as confirmed by Sheik Ahmad Gumi.

We know that, “The Armed Forces are not neutral. They are conniving with the armed bandits that are killing people,” as concluded by Gen. Theophilus Danjuma. We know that a herdsman arrested in Plateau State was armed with a Nigerian military rifle as confirmed by Police.

Further, the Police gave the rifle number as HC2614. We also know that, the herdsmen repelled and captured in Ogoja had rifles from the Nigeria Army barracks in Ogoja as confirmed by Col. Nyiam (rtd).

Remember that Ayo Fayose insisted that, the Federal Government is now the employer and defender of terrorists. According to Jonah Jang, “What is happening is not a secret; people are being brought from Mali, Chad and all over to come and occupy native land”

We also know that the Presidency has insisted on developing RUGA settlements for these terrorist Fulani. Finally, Muhammadu Buhari, a retired Army General and a Fulani himself, is the Commander-in-Chief of these Armed Forces that are conniving with the armed Fulani bandits. Therefore, Buhari must be held responsible for the insecurity in Nigeria.

"Boko Haram should lay their arms unconditionally, be accepted in the community and rehabilitated. An ex Boko Haram having laid his arms stands to be a president of this country. He stands to aspire to any position in this country.

See who una appoint to be our Minister of defense undecided

To pray for Nigeria is waste of prayers... it's more noble to pray for the palm trees in your community!

Only weak minds sit down praying and expect a miracle to happen. Strong minds work to make miracles happen without any prayer

Whenever a leader start seeking for prayer in other to succeed, it shows d End of d road for that leader.
No nation in d world has ever gotten development and security through prayer. And it pains me that Nigeria is d most religious country in d world and yet d godless in d world.
Imagine what came out from a suppose minister, asking people to pray for security of d nation.

Toh.

We're in for another show of ineptitude, which is always associated with abuse of public funds and corruption.

I hope they don't contract imams to pray for us at 2b.

Nigeria! Just don't waste your time praying for this place.

It would even be better praying for a tree in Canada, than this place.

Tinubu should replace this man as soon as possible

He does have any clue or plan on how to face the task ahead of him. When you hear somebody/ leader calling for prayers (spiritual) on physical matter, be rest assured the person has nothing to offer.

If Nigeria is now a religious country, what's the need of our physical security? Let's all go spiritual then
