It is matches like these against Sao Tome that will make Osimhen beat Yekini's record. Imagine scoring over 7 goals in 2 matches against just one team.
who told u those retired strikers dint play small teams in their time abi u think small teams dint exist then.......Even Messi do play small teams in southamerica qualifiers...same as every striker
when someone is good, hes good...no need to belittle his achievemnt like a sadist

The op ain't talking about average or conversion rate, but the total goals scored.
If you play 5matches, scored 15 goals, the player that played 15matches but scored 16goals will receive the highest scorer award irrespective of the conversion rate.

Osimhen's conversion rate is higher than Yekini's which makes the probability of him breaking Yekini's goal record.

I don't see anyone beating Yekini's goals per game ratio 37/58 (AT CAREER END) anytime soon. That's more than one goal every 2 matches (0.64). Yekini was a PURE GOAL MACHINE. Victor is currently at 0.77, but will he be able to sustain it above 0.60 at career end? I hope he does because its not easy.

As long as they don't conspire against him the way some SE players conspired against Yekini, Victor will definitely go far.

... Yak and Martin's were good enough to break it don't know why it didn't happen with them

They were very hot then

Hope Osimhen will do like Ronaldo play all games even if it's a small team and score more goals

Like he did with Sao Tome and Principe
Scoring 6 goals
Matins love to fake injury, selecting matches he featured in. You wont see him in a dead rubber match.
Yakubu was either playing 8 or starting from the bench
