It was a roll call of who is who as VIPs shut down Umuebo village Umunya on friday, to sympathize with Chief Ifeanyi Anachuna (Ezeoemogo Oyi na Omamballa) over the death of his maternal uncle, Mr Anajemba Ekwugha.

In their separate condolence messages, the PDP gubernatorial candidate during the 2021 governorship election, Mr Valentine Ozigbo, said that he has a long standing relationship with Chief Anachuna reason he defiled all odds to be with him in this time of grief. Ozigbo prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and asked that God grant those he left behind, the grace to bear the loss.

On his part, the member representing Oyi Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Hon Sir Innocent Ojike (Ojicam), described late Anajemba Ekwugha as a gentle and peace loving man; while condoling with Chief Anachuna, he urged the family to remain steadfast in God and continue with the good legacies of their father.

Oyi council boss, Hon Emma Nweke who also attended the funeral, said that Ezeoemogo isn't just a worthy son of Oyi but one of the greatest partner of Oyi local government transition committee hence, the need for the local government to share in his grieve.

Chief Ifeanyi Anachuna in one of his briefing with newsmen, thanked all those he said were too numerous to mention for their supports from the day he lost his uncle till he was buried. He said that he would ensure that the legacies of his late uncle, be uphold.

The funeral attracted also personalities like Hon Ifeanyi Chinweze(Egbe Ana Agba Anyanwu), Senior Apostle E.P Ozoemena, Chief Hon Vin Nwankwo Ikelie(Chairman Gwacham campaign movement) the president general of Umunya Development Union, Engr Sir Innocent Nwanueze, Chief Hon Vincent Okafor (Izeh Gburugburu) APGA Oyi local government executives led by Hon Harold Maduka, ward councilors, business moguls among others.
