More like changing the name of Nigeria to UAR Invest in the league and make it more attractive. The quality of football played in the northern and southern part of the continent is top notch. One can have a good time watching Egypt, Algeria, or even the leagues of Morocco but such can't be said about Nigeria. 46 Likes |

those it change anything? people has seriously losing interest in the Nigerian leagues. I remember then we had Enyimba, Kano pillars. these teams were badass teams and most players representing the national teams were mostly selected from them. now everything is now foreign players, so how will the local league survive? 3 Likes |

Nigerian League and NTA, I don't know which one is more disappointing. When it comes to management at the National level, just forget it. It's so painful that there's nothing constructive critics can do. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Acekidc4: It not only sounds good. It also shows we are going to be in the league of top leagues by God's grace. Nigerian players are practically making other leagues successful, let's bring this charity back home as government and private sponsors invest in the success of this league. |

May be with the new name ,our professional league can Improve The other day, the Nigeria referees banned any local players from pulling off their jerseys when celebrating goals. The last player who pulled off his shirt for goal celebration got the linesman fainted because of the body odour, so it was finally banned. 1 Like |

lexy2014: Not necessarily the name change. Any one can change their name and nothing changes. But this seems to be rightly done at the rightful time. My opinion. |

lexy2014: FG didn't just wake up to come up with the new name. It must have been something debated amongst the football professionals in Nigeria before reaching the conclusion of changing the name. FG intervention in the Nigeria professional League this time is just a sign of changes about to come in our sports generally in Nigeria. Which decades last did Nigeria Super Eagles score 5 goals in a match? |
