13 cult and robbery suspects are detained by police in Zaria, Kaduna State

Police in Kaduna State's Sabon-Gari, in Zaria, have detained 13 robbery and cult suspects.

ASP Mansir Hassan, the state's acting police spokesman, said on Monday in Zaria that the cultists had already admitted to being members of the "Eiye" Confraternity.

They arrived from various tertiary institutions all around the nation, and they decided to meet up in Zaria for their initiation procedures, he said.

With machetes and other lethal weapons, the cultists assaulted the Zaria neighborhood on Sunday, according to Hassan.

He stated that they broke into houses, attacked and stole from the occupants, then fled into a neighboring forest.

Police officers followed the attackers to their refuge in the bush, according to the spokes man and arrested 13 of them while others flees.
