Renowned human rights activist Aisha Yesufu has expressed her concerns regarding the recent decision by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to enlist the services of popular social media influencer Adedamola Adewale, widely known as Adeherself, for a campaign aimed at raising awareness among Corps members about the perils of cybercrime.

Adeherself’s association with the EFCC’s campaign has stirred controversy due to her previous legal entanglements. In June 2020, she was arrested on charges related to cyber fraud. However, she was granted bail in July of the same year, with a bail amount set at N500,000, as ruled by the Ikeja Special Offences Court. This initial encounter with the law marked the beginning of a legal journey for the young social media influencer.
