Will Nigeria Ever Achieve Greatness? by leviaka: 4:20am On Sep 14, 2023 |
Let us as Nigerians ask ourselves this questions (1) Was 1914 a mistake? (2) can we ever achieve unity? (3) why do we have so many poor people in the midst of rich natural resources. (4) why is there no functional port apart from that of Lagos. (5) why is the Sw and core north afraid of Igbo presidency. (6) why was the election that brought Asiwaju to power controversial. (7) why do an average Igbo person hates Nigeria as a country . ( Why is the core north afraid of Autonomy for each region (9) why has 13% derivation not developed the Niger Delta region (10) why has corruption persists. Let me start by saying 1914 was not a mistake, rather there was a mistake by our founding fathers , to fashion out a constitution that would have stood the test of time, the American constitution was written by gentlemen that were intelligent, if it has been written by men like ours it would have been a constitution of stupidity, viciousness, controversy, contradictions and failures. Can our country ever achieve unity? All I can say here is the mistrust is so much, that unity will always be a pipe dream, the ruling class will always use divide and rule tactics just as our colonial masters did. The other day a truck laden with food items was looted in Ibadan, when you move around in Nigeria take note of people’s appearance and compare with the appearance of people In developed countries, take notes of cars , the neatness of there streets, you won’t see someone hawking oranges, or bottle water, or defecating along the way just like in mile 2 Lagos. Poverty came as a result of corruption, bad governance, over dependence on one natural resource and gullible followers. Only one port (Lagos) functioning is as a result political decisions not economic decision, if not why the fear of developing functional ports in other places, ports in other places have been made deliberately dormant People always say igbos will never rule Nigeria, igbos are the common enemy that unites other Nigerians, Reno omokri is a good example of an Igbo hater, what people don’t realize is an average igbo man cares more about his business than politics, he became interested in politics again, when the hardship in the country became unbearable they saw in Peter OBI a competent Leader that can salvage this country’s economy some people saw it as igbos voting for Igbo , they did not see anything wrong when igbos voted for shagari, obasanjo, yaradua, and Jonathan.the sw and core north are afraid because they felt igbos will come for vendetta. The last election was controversial because it wasn’t free and fair, it was fair to those whose kinsman is now at the saddle, I know Asiwaju to be a kind hearted person, if Peter OBI has not been in the race , I would have voted for Asiwaju not because he is Yoruba but because I see in him someone who can transform this country for good, my only advice for hm is to keep away from sycophants Especially the likes of ffk, asari dokubo , Reno omokri, el rufai, joe igbokwe Igbos hate Nigeria because of the Underdevelopment and to some extent the fallout of the civil war, they call anywhere they see themselves as home, they believe GOD created Everyman equal, that is why it is not easy to control them, they believe in one Nigeria more than those who don’t visit or invest in other regions, they understand politics more than those who believe they are schooled in politics, that is why they can never vote for someone like Buhari who ruined this nation, our sofistcated regions think politics is only when you win they don’t realize that it is only when you vote in a competent person, competency is what politics is all about, that is why the asian tigers ( Taiwan, s Korea, malaysia etc ) will never vote for someone like buhari The core north has always been the beneficiary of the British colonial masters in terms of the economy and politics, they are always afraid of Nigeria having autonomous regions because they believe they will be left behind in terms of development. And the possibility of each region going there separate ways. 13% oil derivations will never develop the niger delta because we have a system we’re the fund will never be used for development but for looting, niger delta can only be like Dubai or Singapore if there is an oversight from the people and if a master master plan for development is implemented. Corruption will always persist if the country is not restructured and if people don’t get punished for wrongdoing, billions of dollars has been stolen, and stashed away abroad because of the weakness of the system, When highly placed people are jailed like ekwerenmadu in the UK , and trump who was indicted, because of so many issues like Jan capitol riot, taking sensitive documents etc, Nigeria can only be great if greater autonomy is given to each region and if power is dissipated and not cosolidated. Before responding to your lamentation I need to know if you are Igbo Yoruba or Hausa so I can tailor my response accordingly. leviaka: The only poverty example you can cite as an igbo is that outside your region. When you look at places outside Nigeria do you see below pictures n are they not the sign of corruption n bad governance you write about in your article ? Why can't you use any of it ? Why is it that your foolish Igbo head can not use one of those photos ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjrltuB_JJ0

Its not about living in the past! Its about making predictions based on sentiments. There's absolutely no path to development through APC irrespective of the occupier of the office of the president because the party is a den of thieves! helinues: |

I predicted that Bubu would fail and that Nigerians should not vote for him in 2015, especially because he has no precedence of success but they did not listen to me. Bubu exceded my expectations by failing more than I predicted. If the tribunal does not sack Thuvb, he'd be worse! helinues: |

Not in our collective lifetimes. A country ruled by illiterate touts without conscience or spirituality can never achieve greatness. With all the resources. |

It is easier for Togo astronauts to successfully land on the moon than for Nigeria to ever develop or achieve greatness. Instead, she will continue to use most of the resources to fight Igbos which will make her remain in stagnancy while her problems and population continue to grow. No sane human being with ambition will like to stay in Nigeria 30 years from now. It will be very scary to do so. The sheer number of religious terrorists, violent criminals, touts and uneducated layabouts will be so huge that even soldiers will be fearful for their own lives. This is too obvious. |

leviaka: Yes it was a big mistake. If after 109 years of being a country, and 63 years of being a nation, you are world poverty capital and 8th most terrorised country on earth, such union should never have happened (2) can we ever achieve unity? No we cant. We are too divided along tribal, religious and ideological lines to achieve unity. (3) why do we have so many poor people in the midst of rich natural resources. What does not work, does not create wealth. Nigeria does not Work, hence it produces poverty. Even if all the natural resources were in Nigeria, it would still create poverty (4) why is there no functional port apart from that of Lagos. A concerted attempt to keep Lagos booming at the expense of others [(5) why is the Sw and core north afraid of Igbo presidency. They dont trust Igbos, but want to do "one Nigeria" with Igbos. What kind of person wants to be in one country with those he does not trust except a crazy person? (6) why was the election that brought Asiwaju to power controversial. The shoddy jobb done by INEC (7) why do an average Igbo person hates Nigeria as a country . Why would anyone like a system built on tyranny, subjugation and falsehood? ( Why is the core north afraid of Autonomy for each region [q They think oil is everything (9) why has 13% derivation not developed the Niger Delta region Same reason why Nigeria is not developed, nothing works (10) why has corruption persists. Nothing works in Nigeria |
