This is what the scholars mean when they say politics is dynamic. From a democracy, Zimbabwe is slowly evolving into a monarchy. Someone in support of unconstitutionality in Nigeria will soon coman talk about qualifications & experience in the face of sheer nepotism! Africa will remain a beggar continent until the people rise up as one and kill tyranny by themselves! cool

Racoon:
The emilokan mentality is the bane of the African continent. “It’s clearly nepotism. It doesn’t make any sense at all. Zimbabwe’s economy has been in doldrums for the last 25 years and we need the right critical minds to drive the economy.

So, if you put someone who is just coming from the university in that critical ministry to support Prof. Ncube, who by himself has also failed for the last five years … to change around the economy, the president missed the point on that appointment,” Mugano said.
You v a point but it's something you can do. Evidence suggest you, other obidients and Atiku pikins are bitterred cos una no dey power. Not cos una like Nigeria or planned to do better.

Do those appointed people have the qualification and experience to be in that position?[/quo

When it is time for appointment oh sorry "Conflict of Interest" , "it can't be a family affairs" , "oh you would be compensate in another way" ... Africa and it's mentality .

Africa....
Black people's problem.
You are not informed. Trump did same! Even Mitch McConnell when he was US Senate Majority leader has his wife and Brother in law in very high positions in Trump govt.

Stop feeling inferior. If the son and nephew are qualified, they can be appointed and when they do so, it has nothing to do with your skin colour

Do those people qualified to be in that position?

Without their relatives, if they are capable in their professions, wouldn't they be offered an opportunity by whoever?
life is not run dat way.
In Nigeria if we are to consider best hands fr Military som tribes best at it, business som are best, Administration som are best and so forth.

Those condemning Zimbabwe pls did u guys also condemn Okowa when he appointed his daughter into his cabinate?
Because to me Delta economy is higher than Zimbabwean and so should receive more condemnation.
But In d spirit of hypocrisy most of u will rather attack Africa rather than confront those governors and LGA chairperson

Throwback:

What was the trademark when President John F Kennedy appointed his own brother, Robert F Kennedy as the Secretary for Justice and Attorney General of America?

Was he also a power drunk African?

Was President Trump an African for appointing family members to his government?

Whatever might be the due condemnation for such appointment in Zimbabwe, you do not need to suffer inferiority complex and denigrate your own self.

CNN should have informed that Zimbabwe was doing as was previously done in America.

In one breath, your type lament about colonial imperialism, in another breath you prove yourselves to be under the manipulation of the very colonial imperialism.

I hope you know that the Middle-East countries we love to use as a standard of development, have the relatives of the ruling royal manage many of the critical positions that help to bring growth and development that both Europeans, Americans, and Africans are so eager to go there to enjoy either as tourists or economic refugees.

You would claim they are largely not a democratic society, but you cannot disprove that it is still not nepotism and clannishness, and it still got the job done just as Robert F Kennedy got the job done for his brother's government.
Hahaha, for posting this savage response, l will be sending your name to DSS to detain you for 500 years in Asaba or Aba detention center, Muchecheche grin

Dumb question:

If the father were the president, would he have had a look in for that position?

I am sure there are thousands of Zimbabweans with better qualifications than him, tell us why they were not selected ahead of him?

You can't be supporting APC and still ace critical thinking: the two are mutually exclusive.

All over the world leaders are solving problems except in most Africa countries where leaders are the ones creating more problems and compounding the already established problems.
They don't solve problem and I wonder y us this so

It's the same thing here in Nigeria.

Here First son, First daughter and First wife are running the government while their First Papa is

junketing and running around without any clear cut plans for governance and the the country.

In the case of Zimbabwe their president chose not to be subtle but brazen.

Africa keeps getting the greediest of them all as presidents cry

It's in our dna. Greed
Check history. Nothing stops us from being powerful continent. Just greed.

From the belle, we were conditioned to be greedy. young, the same thing but we call it street smart.
The rest condemn cos they have no opportunity.
Present the same opportunity and they wil do worst.
