Mathew Jose and Lucas Demi were two very good friends who decided to start up a bakery as partners.

The initial agreement was to bring half of the capital each, but Demi Lucas was financially unstable at some point so Matthew Jose ended up bringing 60% of the capital.

He still allowed his friend to take 50% of the profit of the business.

As at that time they did not want to register their business so they decided to wait for a few months.

Few months became a year, 1 year became 2, 2years became 3 and 3 became 4years.

In the 4th year of the business Matthew Jose was diagnosed of a terminal disease and after 4months he passed on.

Lucas became greedy and was not willing to give anything to Matthews’ family.

And the pleas of his family members could not be heard by the law,

because there was no legal document proving that Matthew Jose invested into that business as Demi Lucas’ partner.

You see this case is a hard nut to crack, first because this business they are dragging is not registered so it does not exist legally according to the law,

Secondly because, there is no legal proof of Matthew Jose's partnership.

But all this hassle could have been avoided by a simple partnership registration.

So if you are in partnership without a legally backed up agreement or registration, then you are in a wild goose chase.

What will be your fate when your partner decides to loot your common fund and property?

The best way to safeguard your investment is to have your partnership agreement written and duly registered.
