GanagiBitrus: The best Approach the President can do on DISCOS is to liquidate it and pay back those owners because they have not improved anyway since the change of Ownership from NEPA - na same, same! To President Tinubu: Mr President, the way you are doing this as seems you are not ready for 24/7 Lights in Nigeria because unless you take bold actions in the Nest 4- yrs,the present Owners and Workers still feel they are doing Nigerians favour to get lights! Most of the DISCOS have not been purchasing New Transformers,as they are just adding more Darkness to Nigeria! Even Prepaid Meters are giving to the highest bidders.Corruption here is high heaven! - If LAS Vegas is having Lights Day and Night Non- Stop in America and the place is called 'City of Lights',why can't we go and bring them here to fix our Lights ones and for all' Our Politicians and Owners of these Discos are only Interested in Money they are collecting from the Masses without Providing tangible Services or any Improvements in the Services! Very disheartening and Shameful for always putting Nigeria in Darkness, and they still come to collect the Money for Services Not Rendered! 1 Like |

When the head is off it will be too late to cry again. There has never been good power supply systems in the country Nigeria from the word go. A Country in need of more than 200 000 Mw just talking of less than 4000Mw Power system collapse. Nigeria the 6th most populated country in the world 🌎 with just about 4000Mw while Brazil the 7th most populated country in the world with over 185000Mw and Mexico 🇲🇽 the number 10 most populated country in the world with well over 135000Mw. Not to talk of South Africa with about 70,000 population with about 70000Mw. Not to talk of China and India with Several Gíga watt Capacities .The major solution to Nigeria power supply systems is to go it true direct Private system Capacities Generation Transmission and Distribution by States and Federal levels and not the socalled Private political system operations as it is going on in the country today. Nigeria has sọ many power system Generations _ Coastal hydro systems, Rivers, lakes Solar systems, not to talk Gásà power supply systems but it has to be true Private business operation enterprises systems with just government checking systems. |

States should generate power. Power generation should be decentralized. |

nlfpmod:I dont understand how SCADA became essential to a strong and stable grid. Do they mean they don't have SCADA before now or what? Pictorial feedback/monitoring of your plant and nothing more. |

Mbah also stated that the last total system collapse recorded was on 20th July 2022, from then to the 13th of September, (421 days), the system had been stable despite the challenges posed by zero spinning reserve and lack of adequate System Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) essential to a strong and stable grid |

I think the news is for those residing at GRA and it's environs not for the common or average Nigerians living at Gheto. We don't used to have stable light for my side. We do have light 2 to 3 times per week. And that can be half of the month upwards. Towards the month ending they can now make it 5 hours everyday so that they can come for their money that we cannot even explain. They refuse to give us metre and always charge us for the light we don't use. Mr power minister should act fast and overhaul the power sector. All eyes on him. |
