Abia State Police Command has confirmed the beheading of one Hon. Zachary Nmaduka, also known as Power Zack a 70-year-old stalwart of the Labour Party in his community, Ezieke Akpukpa Uturu in Isuikwuato local government area of the state, ABN TV reports.

The command’s PRO, ASP Maureen Chioma Chinaka in a statement on Thursday said Power Zack, a vigilante leader, was killed at a drinking joint in the community.

The incident she said happened on Wednesday at about 8:30pm.

“Mr. Nmaduka was violently attacked, shot, and beheaded by unidentified assailants at a drinking joint in Amelechi Akpukpa Community.

“Upon receiving this distressing information, a joint team comprising police and army personnel was swiftly dispatched to the scene.

“Tragically, they recovered Mr. Nmaduka’s lifeless body.

“Photographic evidence was captured at the scene, and the deceased’s remains were promptly evacuated and deposited at Marist Mortuary Uturu”, she said.

According to her, investigations are currently ongoing.

ABN TV had earlier reported the killing of the LP chieftain, a campaign coordinator of Hon. Amobi Ogah, member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency.

Not long ago in the same Uturu, IPOB terrorist killed a man an acquaintance named John from a village called Achara in Uturu. John and the wife was adopted at his Beer parlour, he was later killed and beheaded, the wife witnessing his horrific death.

John's offense which I suppose is same offence of this man was being a local grassroot politician and a staunch supporter of Uche Ogah who hails from Uturu.

It remains to be seen how Igbos and the East will develop as this descend to self destruct continues. Uturu and Okigwe are presently ravaged by the terror activities of IPOB, only an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty prevails bringing economic growth to a standstill.

This is really not a good time to be Igbo!
