WHEN THE SELFLESS IS IN POWER, THE PEOPLE TRULY REJOICE

~ THE SLOGAN THAT BEST DESCRIBES IFEANYI UBAH'S UNIQUE BOND WITH THE MASSES

I am not going to regale you this weekend with any stories from the giant strides of the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah.

This short treatise is rather a call on you to set aside your personal bias and partisan leaning while pondering the following questions.

Have you taken time to take a second look at Senator Ifeanyi Ubah's Style of Politics?

In other words, what do you think makes this grassroots general tick?

The two core underlying factors that will pop up while analysing the above question are a human conscience and a super-intelligent mind that sees pathways where the average thinker sees the end of the tunnel.

The difficulties faced by the masses most of the time are usually the direct fall-out from electing leaders with zero conscience, who see political office as an opportunity for personal aggrandizement and settlement of personal needs and that of close cronies.

There is a very short supply of leaders with a conscience who wake up every morning fully dedicated to tackling problems facing the people and retire late to bed feeling fulfilled and willing to continue on that trajectory the next day and for the rest of their lives.

Behind Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah's uncommon strides in politics lies a burning desire to create an enduring legacy that sees the masses, especially the Igbos, set aside individualism and pool wealth, intelligence, and God-given resources together to develop the southeast region into an Eldorado of sorts where the mere provision of basic amenities like roads, housing, water and security by government are taken for granted.

An egalitarian society with a system that works for all irrespective of family background.

With the burning desire to achieve the above, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah is a strong proponent of the following Ralph Waldo Emerson's quote, “Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path, and leave a trail.”

Love him or hate him. One fact that you can not wish away is the level of fight in him when he is on a mission to wipe away suffering from the lives of the people, especially Ndi Igbo.

This is why his party, the Young Progressives Party (YPP), in less than five years of introduction in Anambra state, is expanding on a trajectory that is surprising to political analysts in the country, most especially those of them that are yet to take a second critical look at what makes this young man tick.

It is said that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step.

Thanks to the idea bearer and strategic thinker, YPP today boasts of a Senator, a House of Representatives member (with two others clearly won but robbed at collation soon to follow from the tribunal), three state House of Assembly seats with one elected by his colleagues as the minority leader of House.

Indeed, the time has come for every lover of Ndi Igbo to set aside individual or partisan considerations and seek ways of joining hands together to develop our region…

And at the core of every developmental move lies the guarantee of safety in order to secure the lives, businesses, and properties of the masses.

Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah's move to end the insecurity in the Southeast by showcasing how it should be done using his Senatorial District as a template should be supported by every right-thinking Igboman and every conscious effort made to discourage the introduction of petty political antics therein!
