HOW NIGERIA FAILED MOHBAD

In a shocking turn of events, the untimely demise of one of the talented promising young musicians, Mohbad, at the tender age of 27 has raised serious questions about the state of security and protection for people in Nigeria. His hasty burial which was less than 24 hours after his death has left a cloud of mystery surrounding his passing. However, what has since come to light are the harrowing experiences he endured in the days leading up to his tragic end, shedding new light on the dark underbelly of the entertainment industry.

Mohbad whose musical talent was undeniable, found himself entangled in a web of threats, intimidation, and even outright assaults wherever he went. The question that looms large is why no one paid heed to his cries for help until it was too late.
The talented musician took to various social media platforms to share his grievances, pouring out his heart in desperate tweets and even penning a petition to the Nigerian Police Force. In this viral document, he detailed the relentless intimidation he faced allegedly at the hands of thugs associated with his former record label boss Naira Marley, with whom they had a bitter separation. Yet, his pleas for assistance went largely unanswered, leaving him to fend for himself in a hostile environment.

While i do not accuse anyone of Mohbad's death, it is imperative to address the disturbing incidents that occurred in the lead-up to his death. His story serves as a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities artists can face in an industry known for its cutthroat competition and often murky dealings.

In the wake of Mohbad's tragic demise, there has been an outpour of video shreds of evidence and audio recordings that paint an unsettling picture of the torments he endured. This raises significant concerns about the efficiency and effectiveness of the security apparatus in Nigeria, particularly when it comes to safeguarding the lives and well-being of its citizens, including those in the entertainment industry.

Mohbad's death must not be in vain; it should serve as a wake-up call to all Nigerians and those in positions of authority to reevaluate the security measures in place to protect individuals from threats, harassment, and violence. The legacy of this talented promising young artist should not only be in his music but also in the much-needed changes that ensure the safety and security of all citizens, regardless of their profession.

RIP IMOLE embarassed
