If you measure giving the way God does (according to what a person owns) you will realize that the so called "poor people" give much more than what the so called "rich people" give. Example: Mr A is worth #50,000, and he still gave out #50 to someone in need. While Mr B is worth #50M and he gave out #5000 to someone in need. Most people will applaud Mr B and ignore Mr A. But if you consider what each of them is worth, you will realize that Mr A gave 0.1% of what he owns, while Mr B gave 0.01% or what he owns. Mr A gave ten times more than what Mr B gave. Also, Mr B may likely make a big show of his giving, while Mr A may just give quietly. Food for thought: Learn to appreciate not just the gift, but where it is coming from, and how much it cost the giver. |

Exactly what Christ illustrated to the disciples concerning about the widows mite. All the same we are all encouraged to give as we are all capable of. |

Until you understand what netvalue, networth and leveraging is, you truly can't understand wealth and who is wealthy Most Rich men have wealth tied to asset and Investment and not cash and account balance, a rich man isn't always having liquidity and currency hanging around Most Rich men have long term loans they are commited too, as soon as a rich man has money hanging around it's time to buy a property, stocks , shares or invest Each kobo of a rich man is already planned for and they don't spend out of impulse They budget for everything including how much they spend on charity and philanthropy in an organised manner . 1 Like |

CandyOps: I am not sure if giving makes one poor. Funny enough, not giving may likely do that. I define being poor as not having enough. Most stingy people are always in chase of more money, hence, they are restless till death. Giving is a sign that shows someone who has enough, even to share with others, no matter how small. Such person's know when to ease up and live life. Most stingy people hardly ease up. Poor or complete lack of giving is actually a measure of poverty, no matter how "wealthy" you are. It shows how needy you are. |

iammo: Your last paragraph says it all. They still give, the manner being dependent on how much and how many it will serve. Even the "poor" are organized, base on how much and how many it will serve, mostly one person. So, they don't need all that paperwork. |
