THE UBAHNATION MEDIA EFFECT

The media is considered one of the most powerful tools in providing information to people or society. Media is part of our daily life. It informs, influences and entertains us.
This is the case of Miss Oluebube from Uruagu, Nnewi who on Sunday, September 17, 2023, narrated her ordeal with a serial phone hijacker, Mr Onyeka Mmekwa after she saw the Ubahnation's trending video of him and another of his victims, Miss Precious, which attracted wide publicity on the internet, especially among ndi Nnewi.

The video features a serial phone hijacker, Mr. Onyeka Mmekwa from Nnewi, who goes around town preying on vulnerable women, he uses the old disconnect format during a phone call due to insufficient airtime and inability to recharge, then lends the phone of his victim(s) under the guise of calling back to conclude his now alleged phone call as he excuses himself from the scene claiming it's noisy and doesn't return, leaving his victims stranded in spot.

The victims also allege to have been hypnotized, meaning they didn't know how they ended up with him in hotels or bars only to regain consciousness when he had completed his mission and left the scene.
Mr. Onyeka was captured on camera by the Nnewi Vigilante sponsored by Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, which ensures that the Security Architecture in Nnewi is fully available to all.

We recall that at the beginning of this year when the 'Operation Light Up and Secure Anambra South' project started, Nnewi North was used as a pilot scheme which today has had massive effects. In recent news, Senator Ubah has also announced the extension of the project to Nnewi South, Ekwusigo, Aguata, Ihiala, Orumba North and Orumba South local government areas and there is a proposed town hall summit for this purpose to enable speedy implementation of the project and the massive return of ndi Anambra South this festive season to a safe and homely settlement.

All stakeholders of the forenamed local government areas, individually or jointly, are advised to also organize a meeting on this and invite the Senator representing Anambra South to discuss ways to deliver this project – “I am willing to attend any meeting that ensures the security and safety of lives and properties of Anambra South, arrange a meeting and invite me,” says Senator Ubah.

Nnewi Vigilante has since announced the 'Operation Rid And Clean' campaign which aims to root out all criminals in the community and is nothing to joke about, therefore, anyone involved in any form of criminal act is advised to desist from such action because no one will be spared.
