I am totally against giving special status to FCT.
Then we should now make them enjoy why akwaibom or Enugu is enjoying...

The argument of if Fct have a governor, it will usurp the powers of the president.

Let's take a state for instance, Akwaibom is headquartered in Uyo, that's where the seat of the governor is, Uyo lGA has a state house member, it also have a sitting local govt chairman who runs the local govt affairs accordingly.
His duties doesn't in anyway usurp the powers of the governor even though they r sorted in the same local govt area.
Infact in Uyo, the office of the local govt is a stone throw to that of the state govt...

If the tribunal judges think that Fct isn't special, then let the national assembly begin over hauling of the constitution to accommodate the unspecial status of Abuja.
My submission

Some people are just dumb. How can the failure of a television broadcast of a football match invalidate the victory of a team that actually won the match on the field. Only plain mischief can make a man to be breaking heads because photocopies of his results were not uploaded whereas he was issued a genuine original of his results. Worse is that he insists that the copies has precedence over the original. No wonder they swallowed the lie that Buhari was dead before being cloned with a Sudanese. Hahahaha

how many states is nigeria?

36 states
Nigeria is a federation of 36 states. Each of the 36 states is a semi-autonomous political unit that shares powers with the federal government as enumerated under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

please look at the US elections history. Democrats always win D.C their equivalent of FCT, with huge margins 90% etc, they dont say because Trump only got 9% he cant be president. The republican party has never achieved 10% in D.C at least not since 2000, yet Republican Bush won 2000 & 2004 and Trump once 2016. D.C doesnt have a governor either, it is governed by a Mayor. It is only in Nigeria you see this kind of desperation and irrationality

Then we should have a governor, 3 senators and all the benefits the president, senators and judiciary enjoy should be striped off so we know it does not enjoy any special statue. Thereby giving indigines of the state so much opportunity to enjoy what other states enjoy

Then how come you are not against Abuja not having a governor?
How come you are not against Abuja only having one senator and no HOR member?
How come you are not against Abuja not have a House of Assembly, just like every other state?

You accept instances where Abuja indigenes are loosing out to the other states, and want to muscle into the only area where they are gaining.

Atiku and Obi are not serious and it is only in Nigeria that political leaders takes their followers for granted.

How on earth will Abuja special status determine Nigeria President even primary school students will not agreed with Atiku and Obi.

Supported...if they said Abuja is not different from other state, they should allow Abuja to have a governor or a mayor that can be elected every four years as it's done in other places like Washington DC

There is SEEMINGLY ambiguity and that is why we constantly have this argument. But you will agree with me that if the framers of constitution really intend to give Abuja a special status, it will be expressly stated in a very clear manner. That was the position of the honourable judges.

When you have ambiguity in law, you approach the Judiciary to interpret the law. They have done their job, you guys rejected it and you have moved on to the supreme court. Wait for the Supreme Court to nail the coffin eternally.

So is it a must to score 25% of votes cast in Uyo for a candidate to win the GOVERNORSHIP election in Akwa Ibom ?

They did raise issues during collation and Mahmmud promised to review before announcement, he never did!
Mynd44:
Seems both LP and PDP are copying one another like this is some kind of examination malpractice.

You cannot claim you won based on IREV Because IREV Is not the primary mode of result transmission. IREV is merely a way to confirm. The primary mode are the result sheets signed by party agents, INEC officials and security officials. These sheets exist and each party are supposed to have them. If each of the party agents did not raise any issue during collation why now? How come these result sheets have not been tendered? It isn't the fault of INEC the LP Doesn't have enough party agents to monitor results or that PDP is fighting their own members hence they refused to even submit the results.

As for the drug case, even their witness said the case was a civil suit. And the Appeal court went on to stay that even if it was a criminal case
1. It was not duly registered in Nigeria 🇳🇬
2. It has exceeded 10 years which a ban is supposed to last for
3. The US government through the FBI in 2003 has said there has not been a criminal case against Tinubu.

Every other thing is thrash
