As of today Friday, September 22nd, 2023, the naira continue to lose value with respect to the US dollar, exchanging at 1 USD to 990 NGN at the parallel market popularly called black market. Buyers reported buying one US dollar for ₦985 and selling at N990. This is according to information gathered by VERY SERIAL from Aboki FX, an online portal that monitors dollar to naira exchange rate. Bureaux De Change (BDC) operators in Lagos and Abuja say the average buying rate of the dollar is N985 while the selling price is N990, leaving a N5 profit margin.
