Yes, Mohbad left Marlian Records that brought him to limelight when he had a bit of Fame. He started his own label when the end of his contract wasn't near.

For instance, in the music business, if you're to perform on a show as a musician, clients have to contact your manager appointed by your record label so that they can receive the payment and remit your agreed share to you. Since he's left the label despite a subsisting agreement, in such circumstances Marlian Records will hire boys thugs to threaten him during such events where he got the job without informing the label and in some instances, he'd be assaulted.

He was even attacked during a video shoot with a more famous artiste whom he partnered with without informing the label. The intimidation went on for a while but not very recently.

As far as I know, the cause of his death as not been established to be through physical trauma or injury. He was reported to be sick and he kicked the bucket while undergoing a medical routine in the care of an "auxiliary" nurse.
