IMO SECURITY MAYHEM, ONE STRIKE TOO MANY

Experience To The Rescue

How long shall they kill our brothers while we stand aside and look?
How long shall they destroy our lives while we stand aside and watch?
How long shall they destabilise our society while we stand aside and shake?
How long shall they waste our essence while we wait on the government?
The questions could go on and on, but to what end?

It is sound reasoning and commonsensical to think that with less than two months to the much anticipated Imo governorship election of November 11, 2023, the state would have been an improved entity from what it was before, during and immediately after the general elections of same year, at least in its security and ease of life. But like every other area of what makes a state, this expectation remains an expectation.

The least any government, especially, one justling to retain a stolen mandate could do is to improve on what was met on ground. However, you and I know that a stolen item is hardly maintained. But we are talking about one complete state of the thirty-six (36) that make up Nigeria. One that was the safest and envied before this present regime that claims to have done enough for Ndị-Imo.

In all truth, it has done enough, but rather than 'for', it is 'to' and 'against' Ndị-Imo; the height of it being that our security forces now need security themselves.
All Hope is lost!

What happened in Umualumaku, Ehime Mbano, as seen in all media on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 where the men of the Joint Task Force (JTF) on official duty were attacked and inhumanly terminated was one attack too many to tolerate under this shameful sham of a government led by the IMO APC, a strong statement of gross incompetence, utter confusion and a call to resignation of the inexperienced shot callers of the affairs of our beloved Imo. But it remains a pity that we are governed by men to whom power is the primary thing.
Sadly, they lay curses on the people should they choose a better life.
Pathetic!

But there is always a better option; an alternative to hope in. Whereas the hopeless government in Imo lacks knowledge of everything that has to do with good governance, especially, the security of life and property, Ndị-Imo need not be reminded “life comes first” and only experienced technocrats are the answer.
Every state is a reflection of the character of her leader. We have seen the character of ours, and desire so little moving forward.

We condemn and reject, henceforth, the government that is helpless in the face of disorder, mute before a chaos with no clue of a remedy no matter how long it lasted. Leadership is about problem solving. That is what we need.
When the security outfit are unsafe and in need of safety, what is the fate of an ordinary Imolite?

Ndị-Imo, the ball is in our possession now. Let us play well and win happily under the experienced security expert, Maj. Gen. Jack Lincoln Ogunewe Rtd., a seasoned technocrat for result oriented government.

Jack is the solution!!!

"I hope that Imo State can soon enjoy the peace and security it deserves. The current situation is unacceptable."
