i recently discovered i had glo 3g coverage in my area, problem is no matter where i put my sim all i get is EDGE. any ideas?

ve u subscribe to any data b4? Try n subscribe make sure u use gloflat settings. Anoda tin is to check 2c if d fone is on dual mode or gsm. Depending on type of fone u use though.

@ceejay nokia 5230 and 3g modem, GRA Benin. a friend told me GLO had 3g in my area but i have never seen even a half bar signal of 3G. i just decided to switch sims with someone else and WA-bam 3G. I'm on a 3g package and I've tried tweaking my phone to only receive UTMS signals but that just means I'm not getting calls. called customer care and the lady was clueless.

@Omo guy I've tried everything, I'm just guessing it's a glo 'server' problem

Fun fact; Called customer care and got a girl that actually said EDGE was faster than 3G

Put ur phone on umts mode Look for somebody else with a glo sim and test it on ur phone,if the 3g signal appears,then u have to take ur sim to glo office, also put an mtn sim to comfirm, by the way check if ur sim is 8k,16k,32k or 128k sim. Its written on every sim

i went to a glo world store to get it resolved, apparently it has been resolved. i'm getting 3g right now. keelah selih
