They should go and ask why they had to fly in food and aid under the cover of darkness during the civil war and not navigate to this their mystery sea port.
Despite access to an open sea, ukraine cannot use their ports now, ..now you know.

Hope it's not going to be one of those white elephant 🐘 project
It is cos the South East is landlocked, it doesn't have direct access to the sea.

They'll have to go through other people's lands and territory to get to the sea.

Just take a look at the map.

Your canal port is not a sea port.

Gidgiddy will tell you of one none existing UN status on right to the sea knowing fully well there is no sea front in Alaigbo.

Keep decieving yourselves

There is actually a body of water at Ukanafun but the river flows through Akwa Ibom state to get to the sea.

Does that make this future port a sea port ?

That's still landlocked except you people don't understand the meaning of landlocked.

Akwa ibom or whatever state it pass through to the sea can dam that river or put a gate/toll/levy on it. That's the end of your access to the sea.

That's the imo River below.

Maybe a river port.
I have actually been to the area and it is a big river occasionally plied by big canoes. That river will certainly need serious dredging for ships to ply it and the river flows through Akwa Ibom state to access the ocean coast line.

You are so ignorant not to know that half of the ports in the world are not located along the seashore including the porthacort port.

Most have linkages to rivers which empty into the ocean

Search about port Manchester, Hamburg.

Yeah....it can't be traditionally termed "seaport" but can serve the full function provided there's..

*No debris and falls
*No seasonal fluctuation
*Enough space for port construction

If it can be dredged well and become usable.....for no professionalism it can be called seaport if it feeds the south east.

For fact...... seaports in Nigeria were all dredged (built on canal that empties to the ocean) except the lekki deep seaport

So I see no big deal here

These are ports along river beds in reasonable countries including Apapa port. You have been deceived by propaganda about the Igbos
