There are more than 100 different tribes in Northern Nigeria alone, the reason why many Southerners think everyone in the North is Hausa or Fulani is because Hausa is mostly used after English as a general mode of communication.
In my state Nasarawa alone, there are more than 13 different tribes with different cultures, same in all the other Northern states.
In fact, there is no indigenous Hausa person in Nasarawa state.
