Your mature and candid advice needed

A lady subordinate at work during a meeting said she thinks I love her but I am unable to say. I rebuked her and stated I couldn't do that.

She came to my house one time, I didn't let let her into my room

I have never asked her out, and been quite formal with her.

Because of her constant misbehaviour, I don't talk to her at all because I am tired of talking to her.

Now she is always casting aspersions and making insinuations that I am Into her and I will never get to sleep with her when I have never intended same.

Now she is assassinating my character everywhere and join forces with my enemies all over.

1. Why will a lady do that?
