Good luck to you people. With reasoning like this, you deserve the Nigeria you have.
Angelfrost:

You are way too emotional to make much sense, and it's also bad for your health. grin

Philanthropy and Altruism are not terms that you compel from individuals and corporations... They can choose to do them or they choose not to.

These profit-making companies are not doing business illegally... They pay huge amounts of money in the form of taxes to your country, which we all know never get to the poor.

They create far more jobs than you can imagine... That's more than enough Altruism in the real sense.

Telling them what to do with their money aside all I Iisted above is objectively out of place and ridiculous... They didn't come into business for philanthropy or charity... They don't owe you and I that... Matter of fact, they have paid their dues to us all in full (check my earlier explanation above).

Philanthropy and Altruism are great, but no one should or can be compelled to do them.

This guys are making it big time.

Imagine that the total votes for the show aside sponsor amounted to 1.53 billion X N30 per vote, that is N45.9 billion cool cash.

You guys can do the remaining mathematics and tell me what you can make of it.

With this simple analysis, the prize money is way too small please.

With regulated hot water?

What was the cost? Electricity? Food? Oga you didn’t spend more than 250 million Naira.

Except you are calculating all the prices won during the duration. But those are from the sponsors.

Price money - 120m
Feeding - 3 m
Solar installations - 12 m
Clothing - 5 m
Artists and DJs - 25m
Ebuka - 15m

What else?

You say Ebuka 15m ??🤔 That guy collect reach like that ? Mogbe!!

They are not a manufacturing business. They are into the business of creating and generating content for entertainment. Would you ask YouTube or Netflix to go into manufacturing? To go do wetin? DSTV has done more for Nigeria than our manufacturing industries have done. The success we enjoy in Nigerian movies and songs is largely traceable to Dstv

Keep deceiving yourself. That show is an absolute waste that has not morally or financially benefited Nigeria and Nigerians.
A show that makes money and designed to destract, manipulate, and make Nigerians more immoral and lazy.
Suddenly, Nigerians think you can be stupid and get a chance to win 150million.
People who can’t answer simple general studies questions have a chance to be millionaires? What is the moral for the frustrated youth and poor/naive child?
No values taught in a country that desperately needs it at the moment!

people

Burna boy screaming he needs Igbo and shayo with toddlers dancing to that has done way more damage than BBN showing mature content and clearly indicating that it is R18. You pay and subscribe to be able to watch BBN whereas igbo and shayo is played at parties for 4 year olds.

How they hired their 2000 employees is known to them. It's like asking how Nigerian remote tech workers got hired. Those in that space know how to go about looking for those jobs.

Feeding N3m ??

An average of 10 housemates eating an average of 10k per day for 90 days = N9m plus/minus

At no point did I say Burna boy was a worthy role model for Nigerians.
Sadly, everywhere you look, you find more reasons why Nigeria is where it is.
I have never seen a country like Nigeria where her citizens DEMAND a good, prosperous and working country when the people are mostly lazy, corrupt, evil, untrustworthy, fraudulent, promiscuous, religious but ungodly, selfish and arrogant. It is an irony that is beyond reason.
God is not deceived! Nigerians deserve the Nigeria they have. Wicked people will get a wicked leader, bad people will get a bad leader. No miracle can change that dynamics.

Multiply 1.5billion by 100 naira, then you would know how much the organizers raked.
This gives you 150,000000000 (150billion Naira)

If you don't know anything about the show and how it's works, just stop typing. People don't use money to vote. It is by how much you subscribe on your Gotv and DStv. People voted on Gotv and DStv app. For example, for me whether there is BBN or not I subscribe #3300 every month on my gotv just for my family to enjoy theirselves. I can decide to enter my gotv app and votes for any housemates of my choice because I am entitle to 200 votes per week. Whether I votes or not it is my choice and doesn't take any thing from me. How many people dey use money to vote, you go dey use your own hard earn money to vote for people you no know. I dey mad

If you spend 5.5billion Naira on the show and rake in 1.53billion votes in all channels i.e 1.53billion votes x 5naira = 7.65billion meaning that 7.65-5.5billion = 2.15billion Naira meaning that you have garnered 2.15billion in less than 3months of the show, is that not yahoo yahoo
