The officiating priest told the groom to always respect his wife and her decisions... that if he's a watching a live football match and the wife comes in and change the station to Zeeworld, that he shouldn't complain or walk out. I liost interest in going to church 31 DEC 2014 when the pastor called me out in the present of my mum and dad and the entire congregation and saw a fake vision telling everybody am a cultist me that hates cultism like mad !!!

Omoh! I'm in this shoe rn. I don't go and doesn't have any tangible reason why and still doesn't feel like going unless on invitation like child dedication... Though in d other hand I'm just observing my life and how this life operates. Not easy sha, I just pray I'm not making a mistake..God pls speak to me direct in the language I will understand bcoz I don't know what to believe anymore. This life is full of misery. Everyone is just preaching in his or her perspective and in the manner that will interest it's members making it hard for me in particular to choose the one to believe.

Atrocities being committed in the church especially by pastors is enough to stop one from going to church.

I have once ' a upon a time SU Uncle' who stopped attending church for 6 years now because he caught his pastor sleeping with his wife. This is same pastor that run rigorous 6 months marriage counselling programme with him and the wife before they were finally solemnised in holy matrimony by the same pastor.

To incur his wrath, just tell him that you are a pastor. That's the end of the discussion.

This is someone that was addicted to church and its programmes before. He won't miss any program irrespective of the time or location. The only audio materials in his house and car is either gospel music or semon.

The people at the altar has bastardized the grace and motivation.

The pastor misrepresented Christ and misused his office.

He has ruined the relationship of that man with Christ. It can only take grace for him to get back on his feet.

This doesn't invalidate the faith or the need to join other believers in a local church. For every one who misrepresents Christ, there are more who represents well.

One of the challenges of Christians is getting a local church where the undiluted word of God is preached.

When preachings/ teachings sway towards one side without intentionally balancing it, it causes impaired growth.

Are there balanced churches? Yes.

Are they perfect? No

Google search "the summit lighthouse", this way you'll discover the reality of God's existence instead of all those money mongers pastors system 🙄

Pls don't stop. If you are no longer or have personal observation or maybe the church is not blessing your inner man, look for a bible teaching church, pray and check yourself.

No advice for you dude, I'm in same situation and I felt I needed something more interesting than what I already know, it's more likely a psychological issue than a religious one, I'm currently planing on joining the later day saints church of jesus

My own problem is that I go to church but I don't pay tithe.
It's not even in my plan to pay, and even if I start paying, I don't think I can be paying full.

Is something wrong/gonna be wrong with my Christian life.

Listen to Apostle Selman tapes. Go to YouTube and listen to as many as you can. Then pray with Dr. D. K. Olukoya's tapes/preaching. They're still other great preachers out there. Someone has already mentioned T. D. Jakes.

First, are you born again?

Second, are you baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues?

Third, are you part of a growing church that has vision.

Fourth, do have any specific responsibility in church?

Your response to these questions will determine the counsel I will give to you.

Not everybody who goes to church believed in God, if you know you are not interested in going, stay home and pray to God...

There's no place God doesn't answer prayers, as long ad you believe in that God, you will recieve everything you ever pray for, even your friends will think you do ritual, when you are being blessed......
