Dangote Cement seems to have taken a cue from what its counterpart, BUA Cement did weeks ago by reducing the price of its cement. According to a report as well as a press release that came up a couple of hours ago, the price for a bag of Dangote Cement has been reduced to 2,410 NAIRA. This is believed to be sequel to pressures from Nigerians who have been demanding that DANGOTE should reduce the price of its products since BUA led the way.

The only point that marvels me is the 10 naira. If the seller does not have 90 naira change to give the buyer who has 2500, will that not lead to argument,then fighting followed by police arrest? The police will then ask you to come and pay for bail after arresting everybody present in the fighting scene. Dangote might then go to the D P O to get his share, that will offset the reduced price and maximise his profit. I don't trust nigerians, they can employ any strategy to make money! |
