Past PDP and APC governments in Nigeria (including the current one led by President Bola Tinubu who himself has been a victim of clearly
targeted online hate and
defamations for more than 10 years) are very guilty of allowing hate speeches to continue on all social media platforms... That is a total projection of weakness by those in government, and nobody respects weak people! Online security must be a top priority for any country, and the Western nations and Asia nations don't joke with this major fact.


In America, the EU, and many
Asian nations, such relentless asinine hate speeches, fake news, and defamatory posts by secessionists and well-known ethnic bigots that you see daily on NL and social media platforms would have led to mass arrests by intelligence agencies and severe punishments would have been giving out in the courts.


Just this week, the EU issued a stern warning to Elon Musk, the owner of
X (formerly Twitter) to remove ALL forms of fake news, misleading videos, and hate speech related to the Israeli-Gaza war posted on X
OR be heavily punished with a huge fine.


The French guy who slapped
President Emmanuel Macron in
2021 in the face was also arrested and jailed! Another woman who openly insulted and defamed
President Macron was also arrested and charged to court. There's NO
absolute freedom anywhere.
