Will any businessman or managing director given a failing business to handle, with a depleted stock inventory, limited income, mounting debt then take loans to build a new office complex, buy new official cars etc?
Or rather cut expenses, manage limited income, focus on increasing sales and investing in inventory, building stock, if loans must be taken, used to invest in more stock, sold and turned over several time and loans paid. When the business is in sound footing with debts cleared, accounts in green with substantial savings, you then build the new office complex and purchase the new vehicles out of your profit or serviced through leasing.
Nigerians equate success in the first discripripn above, that is why governors, come in acquire all the loans available, live large, give out contracts they cannot pay for, while taking a cut. At the end of the day you have debt ridden ruined states. People that have never ran proper businesses in their lives, most if they had money was from government contracts not trade.
