The Palestine Ambassador in Nigeria, Abdallah Abu Shawesh, has said that Palestinians would continue to protect their territories against Israeli occupation and that, irrespective of their religion, they're are united against Israeli “atrocities” against them despite Israeli propaganda, which was being supported by its Western allies.

Shawesh said this during a press conference at the Palestine Embassy in Abuja, on Thursday, October 12, 2023.

He said the Israeli government has continued to attack Palestine due to the support it enjoys from the United States and some Western countries.

Shawesh said the only solution to the persistent Israeli-Palestine conflict is the proper application of international law and convention that will guarantee the sovereignty of the Palestine state.

He said the international laws and conventions have always been skewed in favour of Israel, which he said has also emboldened Israel to continue its atrocities against the people of Palestine.

According to the Ambassador, the way the United Nations Security Council became neutral when it comes to issues that concern Israel and Palestine was not healthy for global peace and security.

Shawesh said: “The international law is what all the countries in the international community stand firm to maintain. Unfortunately, Israel, backed by America and some Western countries, sees itself above international law.

“When it comes to international law must be applicable to African countries, the Middle East countries, except Israel. And this is because of the wise immunity Israel, backed by the United States, enjoyed.

“I can tell you that the United Nations Security Council that is supposed to maintain world peace is completely paralysed when it comes to issues about Israel.”

Shawesh, however, urged Nigerians and the rest of the world not to be carried away by Israeli propaganda on the recent attacks on Palestine, but to study the history of the crises that have occurred between them, to know about the atrocities the Israeli government has committed against Palestine people.

The West knows how to form propaganda...
It's not like I supported the first killings made by the Palestinians ; but to think of it rationally what will make a weak person to strike a bully knowing fully well he/she is going to loose the fight ... you won't know the feeling until it happens to you...
