The beginning of maximum pressure on Egypt to open the Rafah crossing in preparation for launching the Israeli military operation into Gaza https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JA_TGTANhcU?si=EYg_QqDe5P3dDCvK Updates on the Al-Aqsa Flood operation presented in this episode of Samri Channel. Starting with the United States of America, which expressed its fear of the escalation of the conflict between Hamas and Israel. Washington also fears the possibility of Iranian interference in the current conflict, while the American President seeks to mobilize support to provide more aid to Israel and Ukraine. Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian had warned from the Qatari capital, Doha, that “no one” could “guarantee control of the situation and the possibility of expanding the conflict” if Israel launched a ground attack on the Gaza Strip. The Iranian minister visited Qatar as part of a regional tour that also included Iraq, Lebanon and Syria. Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported that the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received Abdullahian and discussed with him “developments in the situation in the Palestinian territories.” The Islamic Republic supports Hamas financially and militarily, but Tehran rejects accusations of its involvement in the attack on Israel. The White House National Security Advisor confirmed on Sunday that the United States fears that the conflict between Israel and Hamas will witness an additional “escalation,” also expressing fear of possible “Iranian interference.” Jake Sullivan said in an interview with CBS: “There is a real danger that it will witness The conflict escalated, with the opening of a second front in the north, and of course with Iran’s intervention.” Sullivan stressed that the United States “cannot rule out the hypothesis that Iran will take a decision to intervene directly in one form or another,” and continued: “It is a danger that we have been aware of since the beginning” of the conflict, and added, “Therefore, the President (US President Joe Biden) moved quickly and decisively.” By deploying an aircraft carrier in the eastern Mediterranean, so that we have fighters in the Gulf, because he sent a very clear message to every country or entity that might seek to exploit this situation.” On the other hand, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Sunday, where they discussed the situation in Gaza and Israel. The Egyptian President said that 12,500 Palestinians were killed due to repeated rounds of violence in Gaza, noting that the delay in resolving the Palestinian issue would result in more victims. He added that the Israeli reaction went beyond the principle of the right to self-defense to collective punishment. The Egyptian President said that the absence of a solution to the Palestinian issue led to an exacerbation of anger, stressing: “We are making efforts to contain the situation in Gaza and ensure that other parties do not interfere.” Sisi expressed his hope that his meeting with the US Secretary of State would be “an opportunity to find a solution to the current crisis,” which he described as dangerous and said could have repercussions on the entire Middle East, stressing that “it is important to reduce tension and facilitate the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip.” For his part, Blinken said that it is necessary to ensure that the Hamas attack is not repeated and that civilians are protected, stressing that “we must find a way forward towards combating Hamas’ approach.” Blinken added: “We stress the importance of the Palestinians obtaining their rights, but not according to Hamas’ approach.” Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said in a televised interview with the American CNN network that the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt is open, but the aerial bombardment has made the roads on the side of the Gaza Strip “inoperable.” Shukri said: “The Rafah crossing is officially open on the Egyptian side. It has been open all the time. The problem with the roads is that they have been subjected to aerial bombardment. So, on the Gaza side, the roads are not in a condition for vehicles to cross.” Shukri said that if foreign nationals in Gaza are able to pass through the Rafah crossing, the Egyptian government will help facilitate flights to return them to their countries of origin. #Palestine #Egypt #latest news
