Ifeanyi Uba has agreed to pay. The criminal case can still come up after he paid his gbese because criminal cases have no expiry date for prosecution.

Ifeanyi Uba has agreed to pay. His creditors have suffered for years and will rather have their money lesekese without any further delay.

The criminal case is for EFCC not AMCON holding the debts of mostly private banks owned by ordinary Nigerians.

The alleged criminal case can still come up even after he paid his humongous multibillion gbese owed to private banks owned by ordinary Nigerians. Oil business now enjoy better valuation and roi unlike the time oil was down and heavily regulated and subsidized. So now he can afford to pay both the principal and backlog interest now. The gbese payment is the first priority because criminal cases have no expiry date for prosecution.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led FG is not interested in killing private businesses or the business of anyone let alone that of an Igbo man before his people, mostly the unpatriotic and hate-filled ones suffering from victim persecution complex, start complaining of marginalisation again.

Nobody is above the law, his alleged criminal cases can never be swept under the carpet. Check my signature for free stuffs!

If you look very well it is not about agreeing to pay anything. The subject of the case was that Ifeanyi Uba falsified the claims on the value of his assets that AMCON were after. So if he agreed to pay, the question is what amount was agreed to pay? let us stop this lies and sentiments bro

Join APC and your sins are forgiven according to Ex-chairman of APC. So there is nothing new here. That's has been the way. Congrats on your forgiven sins but God never forgets.

This is what am talking about a president and a Prime minister system

The president controls these agencies that's y they are puppet. We need a new system where the president doesn't have power over these agencies or even appointment of judges and ministers.

In that case, even if u decamp to the president's party. The agency will still persecute u for being a fraud because the party affiliation lacks power of control of the agency.

Too much power in one man is what is destroying this country.

In a parliamentary system, the pm still appoints ministers. India is parliamentary, but a lot of indians accuse modi of hardline, dictatorial tendencies.

Same way Tinubu will fare in the next presidential election - he'd "win" even if 90% of the people did not vote for him!

How then will this country grow? Our leaders all knew it's just a matter of time we will dissolve like former Yugoslavia so they are just milking the resources of the country....
I just pray we don't have a bloody revolution!

Wow...I'm glad someone could figure this out...lol

Only a naive ignorant citizen wouldn't have seen this as where we are headed.

If you can imagine this then your brain can process what I'll drop further to make you truly understand that all hope is lost at keeping the scam as one.

*Do you know that just anyone with good access can order the printing of the naira as much as they want and use the same to mop up as many dollars as they can for safekeeping and security?
*Do you know that all the politicians and big business people all prefer to denominate their wealth in Dollars and other high-value currencies? Why would anyone believe that these same people will work to favor a weak Dollar that'd make them see their net worth eroded by more than half?

We do not have a foreign reserve anymore. They've looted and shared that amongst themselves.

The contraption is gone. The current administration is trying to secure as much as they can in the shortest possible time to secure their zone both financially and military-wise.

There is a huge palpable fear and tension in the land. If you are conscious enough, you could feel it. It speaks volumes.

Have you heard the likes of Oshiomole yaping of recently?

The North is waiting for Tinubu to make a change at NNPC to see if he'll appoint one of his own before they start the wailings as if they were deaf, dumb, and blind when Buhari held sway.

Danger and anarchy looms.

It is not good to deceive the public... AMCON didn't say that Uba has agreed to pay. Uba can't agree to pay what he claimed he didn't owe. Are you telling us that crossing over to APC made him to agree to pay?
They withdrew the criminal case? If its not witch hunting why would they drop the criminal case? The criminal case can still go... This shows clearly that the witch hunting/ imaginary marginalization is true! They dropped them immediately... Its not even up to 1 week. You can most of the people sometime but you can't deceive all the people all the time.

As tweeted by Chidi Odinkalu

I know that Ifeanyi Uba couldn’t have defected to APC with clear eyes.

Like my people say, “dem no dey carry clear eyes dey go white garment church.”

No Anambra politician, nay Igbo politician, with his senses intact, will defect to APC except there’s something he’s trying to escape.

So, Ifeanyi Uba defected to APC because of his court battles with AMCON and not because he believes in APC. Meanwhile, I look forward to seeing how he fares in next election as APC candidate.
