It's becoming obvious that the new Libyan leaders are bunch of Islamists trying to terrorise their way into power and because Gaddafi not being a friend of the west made them see the revolution as an opportunity to topple Gaddafi

Though Libya is said to have sharia law in place but Gaddafi ruled Libya in a secular manner allowing Christians their rights.
