The National Examination Council (NECO) has started selling forms for a special exam in November/December 2023 for those not in regular school (private candidates). This guide gives important info, from signing up to where the exam will be held.

Fees: ₦17,800 to register, ₦500 for each four-figure table, ₦2,000 for a waterproof jacket


Requirements: Recent passport photo
Registration is open from Sep 11, 2023, to Nov 13, 2023. Late registration from Nov 14 to Nov 19 costs an extra ₦2,000. Walk-in registration costs ₦28,000.


How to Register

You can sign up for the exam online or offline. Here are the steps for online registration:
Go to NECO's website (SSCE External Link).
Open an account and buy your registration.
Finish registration and give your biometric data at a trusted cybercafé.
Remember, sign up at the right time as stated on NECO's website.
