We won’t watch Lagos become as dirty as Aba.

They should not clean up that environment and watch what will become of that place.

Lagos is our heritage and we won’t allow anybody be it omoluabi or omo atounrinwa to spoil it.

As for the alaba intl market, LASG should demolish the 2x4 shops there, erect standard structures and lease out to the good people of SW, SS, North & MB at subsidized rate.

Lagos must become that Dubai everybody wants to visit.

This is good.
Environmental degradation should be discouraged by all means.
A healthy environment means less visits to the hospital
Lagos is one of the most important cities in Africa and as such should also be one of the cleanest...

Cantonese:

The entire road from Volkswagen to Igbo Elerin , but with emphasis of Okokomaiko, Cassidy, PPL, and then Alaba Rago need serious enforcements. The uncountable tents built in the middle of the highway between Alaba Rago and Okokomaiko should be dismantled. The “iron kwande”, condemned plastic chairs and household furniture in the road should. E thrown somewhere. Then those who sell rice o the road should move into their shops. That place is a haven for criminals.

This stupid gutter cleaning methods of bringing out heaps of sands and dirts from the gutter and dumping them by the sides in Lagos should stop. The roads are already terrible and people are managing to navigate their way through the roads. Someone will hire abokis to dig out sands from gutters and put them by the side which will end up taking up greater parts of the road. The funny thing is that when it rains, the sands and dirts are washed back into the gutter and the cycle continues.
No doubt you stay in Lagos

When my street people do this
I really wonder because tomorrow everything is back into the gutter

Issue in Lagos is that , the drainage ain't working

You will see a gutter with stagnant water
You won't see even see end of the gutter

That is the Lagos that Tinubu developed. I am Yoruba before one bastard start insulting other people oh. An ordinary law would make lagos clean. Police can arrest people for littering or not picking up litter next to them with that people won't dump anything anywhere.

Nigerians are generally dirty and litter everywhere.

But government should also provide refuse bins on major streets

To be frank, this market, amongst others, is why some people tend to look at the closure of Trade Fair and Alaba Int'l as politically motivated.

For every reason (and more) either of both market should attract Govt's ire, Alaba Rago has ten times of such offence in the least.

Be it environmental hazard, that market is damn dirty. Even dirty doesn't begin to describe it.
Be it structural integrity, many buildings there are barely standing under pressure of weights and age.
In addition, it is a criminal haven of drugs, sales of stolen items as well as day/night time robbery, that extends into the roads at night.

It is therefore suspect that such a market that is in close proximity to Trade Fair, and in even closer proximity and minutes away from Alaba Int'l keeps escaping any form of scrutiny.

But then, I'm always of the opinion that you must not give your detractors any reason to bring you down. If you do, then you must take responsibility. So long as the government has reason to close those places of business, they must be up and doing, first, before they can criticize.

LASG will not bother about that Hausa market, who wan touch him master?

Besides,Mallam nor they pay money like that grin

They are just after the Igbos cos they wanna obtain them, not as though the alaba Int'l market ain't clean, that market is always very clean...it is very wrong for the Lasg to close the main markets of the Igbo people in Lagos, very provocative and insensitive.

When the whole place is locked up, the people conducting business there will be the ones policing one another because they wouldn’t want that place to be shut down again by the government

It’s a very lengthy stretch as the market is not centered in one place. To enforce, battalions of soldiers would be required. Get ready also for the traders there who are comprised of all tribes.
