Calitoscassius: It is actually a good idea, especially as humans grow older, they prefer to stay around those who look and think like them. Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Bahamas, and maybe Dominican Republic are the best places to domicile in the Caribbeans. However, they are outrageously expensive such that the dweller must be really boxed up. Moderately sized houses in Barbados and the Bahamas, my favourites, are not less than $500K, and this is me being conservative. So, for the average black person outside North America, as most blacks there wouldn't be overly interested in emigrating considering the historical nature of black domicile compared to elsewhere, seemingly functional and, most importantly, safe countries in parts of Africa would be the best option. That is where Ghana and Benin Republic come in. The hack is to live on pensions derived from developed countries or businesses founded in those countries that are into exports to curtail against currency valuations. This is considering the lifestyle of the returnee compared to the locals. Basically, earn dollars, not cedis or CFA, while resident there. Guyana is a poor country that just found oil. Better Benin Republic or even Gambia. The poverty there is excruciating. Few people i know are currently in the business, they have being perssuading me to join. As it appears it has being quite profitable abundantly for them. That is where i the idea came from. It is profitable because they are not relying on the local currency. Anyone who returns from, say, the UK to Nigeria to rely on naira income accompanied by a British lifestyle is in for a longgggg thing. It is something I have looked into because as the world gets more nationalistic, it is better to reside amongst people who look like you. Also, for some of us who emigrated after more than 25 years in a black-dominated environment, we yearn for attributes from such an environment. 2 Likes |

Nigerians and their low mentality , you have 35 million naira and you use it to do visa to another man's country to do petty and dirty jobs.. I mean 20 to 30 million naira. That's so foolishi , you can start a small firm , agriculture , real estate , poultry , fashion school , agro processing plant etc, there are thousands of things i can do with it and be successful . People run away from Nigeria because we are not producing anything , there are no jobs, we only import in the morning , afternoon and night , import import import . Running away with such amount of money is wickedness , use it and start something in Nigeria and employ 2 workers . If the multitude in embassies trying to japa can each , use the funds to establish small scale enterprises and employ one or two workers , the unemployment level in Nigeria will reduce . 8 Likes 2 Shares |

You’re right. But I was thinking more like individual homes that people want to sell because of whatever personal reasons they might have. Those I’d buy. But definitely not some mass produced quick construction scheme. Even then those won’t go for 5 million. Not even 20 million. Not in this economy at least descarado: |

cococandy:you finally got it. I couldn't have been more explicit. I no talk about houses built by developers, and I recall explicitly mentioning that in my post (it's right there). Developers are doing business, while homeowners that put houses up for sale NEED money. Whatever would make a man/woman put his/her house for sale, rest assured na for urgent money needs. Whomever has the money on ground and the information wins, and saves money....and yes, it certainly will not be in prime locations....but same principle applies even in prime locations. You would certainly get the house far far cheaper than its full worth or the cost it would take to build today. After building mine and I learnt this, I knew I would certainly not be buying any more lands but rather buying houses so help me God. Na make the funds dey wella on ground remain. |

OlawaleBammie:let me answer from the beginning cos obviously you do not live abroad, Only people who have limited hours at their jobs do more than 2 jobs, If you have a full-time paying job there will be no time to do another job or your taz will be on the up. Now for the things you get here wich are not money. Good roads, lesser crime, World class healthcare which is free. Rule of law, no man know man. Police are rapid if called. Almost no fear in going out of your home. Im sorry to say, loads of people abroad paint a very vague picture of the west to their family and friends back home in order for them not to be asked for money or handouts. I will tell you this fro free, if your president can come to the UK for health care who then are the citizens to talk. All the elite of the Nigerian Society are sending their kids here to school, Even the ruling houses of the Saudis send their kids here from as young as 5 to school. 1 Like |

Icesnow: Actually Germany and Portugal have pathways to citizenship. Portugal is the only EU country where your kids can be a citizen after they are born provided the parents have lived there for more than a year. Naturalisation time is 5 years. Germany is 8 years and that nonsense about student jobs not being available is a lie. 1 Like |

Love800: Are you with your calculator? Living expenses roughly 10k pounds For a dependant roughly 6k pounds Let's say your school fees is 15k pounds. If exchange rate is 1400...then only this is going to 40 million naira. Visa and health insurance 1450 dollars. I don't know now. Multiply by two if u have a dependant. Other small small expensises... Tb test, passport fee unless u have already, booking of biometric... Priority? 250 pounds, plus other fees like that 1 Like |

But do you think Portugal is worth moving to again?Because it has one of the lowest salaries in the EU, see the minimum wage, and this is before tax. I read on Reddit and even YouTube videos that the cost of living is now high due to the influx of digital nomads and remote workers from the US who can afford to pay the high rent costs, unlike the locals who earn low wages. But I agree it's cheap to move there though, I even saw a school for just 2000 Euros a session. The citizenship is another perk too cos the passport is quite strong. What's your opinion pls? tensazangetsu20:

If you have 20M, you can actually study in Latvia for example, bring in your family, rent a huge flat, have a Schengen residence permit that gives you entry to about 30 European Schengen countries, and have peace of mind. And oh, you can work there, start a company, and play until permanent residency. Nigerians, why only the UK? There are other countries out there that will not stress your life. You just have to start somewhere. Lots of Nigerians I have met in these places, will only visit the UK, and go back to maybe Poland. If you are flexible with learning a new language, then life will be easy for you. I have visited the UK a lot, and surprisingly, I see more wretched Africans there than other small EU countries that most Nigerians would skip. Guys in Poland, Slovakia, Finland, and Latvia for example are living in huge houses, paying less and having less stress. The world is bigger than the UK. 23 Likes 3 Shares |
