PTDF Appointment: Group hails Ahmed Galadima Aminu choice.

A group under the aegis of the Adamawa Concerned APC Stakeholders Forum has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on the choice of Hon. Ahmed Galadima Aminu as the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Technology Trust Fund.

The group in a statement signed by the convener, Dr. Moddibo Abdullahi Mustapha, said the profile of Hon. Ahmed Galadima Aminu as an astute civil servant with proven track record of excellence distinguishes him as a round peg in a round hole for the appointment.

The Presidency had in a statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on (Media & Publicity), Chief Ajuri Ngelale, on October 17, 2023, announced that the President directed Aminu to serve in an acting capacity until he commences his fresh four-year term on December 26, 2023.

The group further noted that the efforts by Mr. President to appoint men and women with capacity to deliver on Mr. President’s renewed hope agenda will soon benefit all Nigerians.

Position of Adamawa Concerned APC Stakeholders Forum.

It has become pertinent that we address some of the key issues arising from the appointment of an illustrious son of Adamawa state as the Executive Secretary and CEO of Petroleum Technology Trust Fund (PTDF).

Permit us to start by using this medium to convey the gratitude of this noble forum of committed and steadfast APC men and women, and overwhelming majority of Adamawa APC members to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, President and Commander in Chief of the federal republic of Nigeria, and the Minister of State for Petroleum, Hon. Heineken Lokpobiri, for finding one of the Adamawa finest exports worthy of such lofty appointment.

Hon. Ahmed Galadima Aminu, an astute civil servant who left an indelible excellent service delivery records, patriotism and hardwork as he completes 35years of service to father land is one of the many appointments of Mr. President that has received wide commendation from majority of Nigerian at every nook and cranny of the country. His positive contributions to the growth of the PTDF speaks volume of the grand reception his appointment received from majority of the staff of the fund.

As party men and women who participated in the rigorous campaigns and electioneering that ushered our great party, APC, to power at the federal level, we cannot keep silent while mischievous elements and envious opposition sympathizers parading as members of the APC, attempt to discredit the appointment of a man who has all it takes to revamp and revitalize the Petroleum technology Trust Fund and achieve milestone.

While we understand the unease many opposition elements are already feeling by Mr. President’s infallible way of appointment those who have the capacity to assist him to deliver on his renewed hope mandate, we wish to condemn in totality, the attempt by opposition elements and mischievous Adamawa politicians to sponsor ‘campaign of hate and distortion of facts’ against a man who has proven over time to be a consistent and committed asset to the renewed hope agenda of Mr. President.

The futile attempt to link the distinguished Hon. Ahmed Galadima Amina, a civil servant of proven records to the Atiku PDP political camp is quite laughable. We recognize it as one of the known tactics of using media propaganda and lies to attempt to bully unbending progressives in Adamawa state by PDP elements who perceive them as big threats to the party’s totalitarian agenda in the state.

As true members and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa state, we will not allow the opposition to use crude tactics to dim a shining light for Mr. President’s renewed hope agenda in the PTDF. We therefore congratulate and pass a unanimous vote of confidence on the appointment of Hon. Ahmed Galadima Amina as the Executive Secretary and CEO of Petroleum Technology Trust Fund (PTDF).

We urge Nigerians and our esteemed party members across the country to discountenance the activities of paid fifth columnists, faceless and unpatriotic elements who are only bent on causing discord in the ranks of our noble party members, and waging endless wars against capable men and women whose appointments are perceived to be pivotal to the success of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration”.
