A foremost Business Mogul, Astute Entrepreneur, renowned Philanthropist and Chairman, Diamond Leeds Limited, High Chief Kenneth Ifekudu, CFR (Agbalanze Onyekachukwu na Ozubulu) has panegyrised the Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo and the Anambra State Ministry of Youth for the "One Youth, Two Skills" programme alongside the two billion naira seed fund training and Empowerment of 5000 youths in acquiring a diverse range of skills crucial for their financial independence future success and the overall development of the State



Speaking in his office in Abuja, High Chief Ifekudu described the “One Youth, Two Skills” scheme which was implemented in CBN-certified EDIs in partnership with UNIZIK Business School Awka, IDK, ITF, Federal Polytechnic Oko as a laudable innovative approach towards drastically reducing unemployment and youth restiveness in Anambra State.


Chief Ifekudu stated that Skill acquisition is a critical component of entrepreneurship. Thus, by mastering various skills, youths can identify gaps in the market and create innovative solutions, fostering entrepreneurship and job creation. These entrepreneurial ventures contribute to economic growth and empower the youths to become job creators rather than job seekers.


He further posited that acquiring skills enables youths to become self-reliant and economically independent as they gain the ability to start their own businesses while reducing dependence on others and contributing to the economic growth of their communities.



He restated that skill acquisition enhances the employability of youths, fosters personal growth, promotes entrepreneurship, and enables adaptation to the ever dynamic job Market, Hence, the training "one youth two skills" program is apt as it will provided the beneficiaries an opportunities for networking, collaboration, and mentorship while promoting social integration and building a diverse support network of young people who will contribute to the Nigeria's GDP.


He called on the beneficiaries to be productive and justify the huge investment made on them by the State government. Meanwhile, Governor Soludo explained that there is a special funding put aside through Anambra State Small Business Agency, ASBA , for those who want to scale up their enterprise to access grants of up to five million naira.

The Governor pointed out that the grant each of them will receive should be enough to purchase the equipment they need to start, asking them to approach their respective local government areas next week to pick up their cheques which are ready.
