Is This True Conversion Or Mere Accolades? by PCHC(m): 2:39pm On Oct 28, 2023
DANIEL 2:47

The king answered Daniel, and said, “Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.” [NKJV]

The king said to Daniel, “Truly, your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, the revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this mystery.” [FBV]

IS THIS TRUE CONVERSION OR MERE ACCOLADES?

This is the kind of testimony some men of God love to hear people say about their God: "Your God is the most high, Your God is all powerful, Your God is God of all impossibilities, Your God is God of gods, Your God is the Lord of kings, Your God is the Revealer of secrets, Your God is miracle-working God, etc."

But I now tell you, such testimonies from people outside about your God is good but imperfect and has inadequacies. Do not fully rejoice when you get such testimonies about your God. Therefore I you to know when a testimony about God is complete and perfect coming from those outside your faith.

Look at the top Bible verse above, in which the most powerful king on earth then testified, acknowledged, praised, or hailed the "God of Daniel" coming after the king had first worshipped Daniel and sacrificed to Daniel. So in nutshell, Daniel received the worshipped but the God of Daniel received and shared the praises and glory with Daniel, all coming from the king of the world.

How do I explain this? The man of God (Daniel) took greater glory than God coming from the king of the world then, and to add to it the king will go on to promote Daniel without promoting God in the realms of Daniel. Many of you still do not know when people are giving greater glory and love to men of God above what God is receiving from them. Perhaps you yourself is already getting more benefits from people who take you as a man/woman of God more than God is getting from them through you. But here's how to know if you are, by how much Nebuchadnezzar benefitted Daniel above the God of Daniel. Three things:

*1* Like Nebuchadnezzar here, they would worship you but not worship your God, they will draw nearer to you without drawing nearer to God, they will praise you as man of God but would not want to like you to God.

*2* Like Nebuchadnezzar here, they will be thrilled and amazed at the power, miracles and grace of God, in the performances or works you do, but they will go on living as they like. See how much Nebuchadnezzar the king knew about the God of Daniel in the Bible verse above, but yet was not converted to worship the God.

Why should they agree your God is the God of gods, and yet they choose to worship and serve inferior gods? After Nebuchadnezzar said the God of Daniel was truly the God of gods, the same king made an image of gold and commanded all men to worship that image of gold at the sound of music notes. Ask yourself, why would he say such about God here, but still be serving idols?

Unfortunately, the people of the world mess-up foolish men of God by subtly acting as if they appreciate them with gifts, offerings and praises, but have nothing to do with their God.

*3* Like Nebuchadnezzar here, they would call God, "Your God" or "Your Christianity" but not "Our God, Our Lord, our faith." When to them, He is the God of Daniel, the God of Elijah, the God of Pastor/Bishop/General Overseer of your church, etc, like the sons of Sceva, in the name of Jesus Christ whom Paul serves. Worst is them calling you "Father in the Lord" or "Spiritual Father" or even "Father/Our Father" even inside the house of God.

Enough trying to show you signs of errors: But I have said, Daniel failed in this opportunity to have converted Nebuchadnezzar from worshiping idols or other gods because Daniel was enjoying being worshipped and having all the attention. Though he succeeded in proving there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, who rules over kings and determines kingdoms of the earth, but Daniel did not immediately turn or convert Babylon and their king into true worshippers of God of heaven. Thus the name of God was honored and regarded among the Chaldeans, but worshiping of God wasn't.

So now I show you true conversion, instead of mere performance or theatre accolades. Let's compare these two Bible references:

[Daniel 2:46‭-‬47 FBV] — Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell down before Daniel and woshipped him, and ordered offerings of grain and incense to be made to him. The king said to Daniel, “Truly, your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, the revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this mystery.”

[I Corinthians 14:24‭-‬25 NKJV] — But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an uninformed person comes in, he is convinced by all, he is convicted by all. And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed; and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you.

Both Bible references was about supernaturally revealing hidden secrets in the hearts of unbelievers by the power of God through God's servants: That's "Words of Knowledge" or "Words of Divinity." However, notice the difference in reactions between the two cases

a). In both references, the unbelievers fell down and worshipped as soon as the secrets in their hearts was supernaturally revealed: however, in the first Bible reference the unbelievers worshipped the man of God by whom the "words of divinity" or "revelation" came, while in the second Bible reference the unbelievers worshipped God in midst of the men of God by which it came.

b). In both references, the unbelievers testified something "Truly" about God, which was what they discerned about God: However in the first Bible reference the unbelievers testified or discerned that truly the God of Daniel was the God of gods, Lord of kings, and the Revealer of secrets, not because God has revealed secrets directly to him but because Daniel could reveal those secrets. Thus, whatever he said about God was what he saw or heard by Daniel's utterances and performances. He had no direct contact, experience or inspiration, with God, but "Seeing Daniel could reveal those secrets" made he testify that about "God of Daniel."

Whereas in the second Bible reference, the unbelievers, discerned that God truly is in their midst, because a veil is removed from their heart for them to perceive God right in the midst of the two or gathered in the name of the Lord. So unlike Nebuchadnezzar who did not perceive the presence of God but Daniel, and so worshipped Daniel as representative or ambassador of God that was in a distant heaven and had no dwelling among men nor "Immanuel" according as the Chaldeans had told that king.

c). In both references, the unbelievers testified of God: However, in the first Bible reference, the unbelievers referred to Him as the "God of Daniel" or "Your God;" while in the second Bible reference the unbelievers referred to Him as "God" "Our God" or the "True God." This show the unbelievers in the second Bible reference were converted into the faith, but in the first Bible reference the unbelievers were simply thrilled or excited and respected the God of Daniel better than other gods or above all kings, just as Moses rod serpent swallowing the rods did not convert Pharaoh.
