Edo Majority Leader Meets Okokhuo Ward.

The member representing the people of Ovia North-East 1 constituency at the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian yesterday met with the good people of Okokhuo ward 9 in his constituency in line with his campaign promises, the people Okokhuo who were very happy to see the Honourable member in their midst, they expressed their gratitude to him for creating time out, out of his busy schedules to come and identified with them, they said, it really shows that he is a man of the people, they assured him of their continues supports, and congratulated him once again for emerging as a member of the 8th Assembly as well his elevation to the office of the Majority Leader among his peers, they said, it shows his capacity and quality.

While speaking Barr. Charity Aiguobarueghian thanked the people for their supports so far, he assured them that he will remain committed to delivering of all his electioneering campaign promises to the people, he said as the Assembly settles down for business, expectations are high among the constituents, he assured them that the parliament would live up to its responsibilities in the three core areas of lawmaking, oversight and quality representation as the majority reasons he was sent to represent them.

In the face of biting hardship currently ravaging the country following the removal of petrol subsidy, citizens are keen on the contributions of their representatives towards ameliorating the effects of the policy, he said that the distribution of soft loans for the women will commence by November to assist them in their businesses.

In this very insightful gathering, he highlighted his legislative agenda focused on tackling poverty and creating opportunities for the youths through the sponsorship of motions and bills, amongst other pertinent issues.

The Majority Leader also promised to draw government attention to the area for more infrastructures, he assured them that the rehabilitation of Ugboke Primary School in the locality will soon commence, he added that efforts are being put in place to make the issue of security challenges in the area a thing of the past, as strategic security plans are already in place to curb the activities of the killer herdsmen in the area.

The Ovia lawmaker also promised to continue to engage with constituents every step of the way to ensure that they fully participate in his legislative roadmap.
