After old Anambra state was split between Anambra to Enugu UNN which was federal university of old Anambra became part of Enugu, Anambra state university of technology was renamed after first Nigeria president and taken over by Federal government in 1992 over the years Unizik have witnessed massive infastructures both from government and Anambra indigenes who has contributed in developing the university
