[Genesis 3:11]

"And he said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded you that you should not eat?" [AKJV]

God said to the man, “Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat fruit from that tree? I commanded you not to eat from that tree.” [ICB]

"WHO TOLD YOU?"

Frankly, flesh and blood could not have revealed that to Adam, but either the Lord God Himself or the forbidden tree. Just as flesh and blood could not have been able to reveal to Simon Peter that the Second Adam was the Christ, the Son of the Living God; even so, flesh and blood could not have revealed to the first Adam that he was naked. Not even the Serpent knew that secret of their being naked, but only knew that if they ate of the tree their eyes would be opened to know good and evil. So that knowledge about their unclothedness could not have been revealed by any earthly being except that tree God told them not to eat.

There are certain knowledge or information which if you have or know them, it proves God alone has revealed it to you or you have hacked into a secret you were not supposed to have access into.

In the Bible verse above, God asked the man two congruent questions, which basically meant the answer to one is the answer to both. One questioned the source of the man's information and the other questioned man's transgression of God's instruction to the man. The presence of that information in man meant the transgression of God's instruction in the man. So it either the man kept God's instruction without having that information, or the man had that information because he had cast away God's instruction.

Surely, God did not tell them they were naked, rather God told them not to eat of the forbidden tree. God telling man he was naked was not necessary as long as God already told man not to eat of the forbidden tree. There are information God may not need to worry you with because God already gave you instruction. God's instructions would be better burden to bear than certain information. If you are well instructed of God, whether you are informed or not, you will surely not be deformed.

There was a time Mankind could not be reproached, could not be accused, could not be intimidated, could not be defiled, could not be discouraged, could not be convicted of sin, could not be sentenced to death or penalties, could not be ashamed, etc, because mankind kept the Word of God and had not eaten of the forbidden tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eating of the forbidden tree in disobedience to the Commandment of God, exposed man further into deeper states of unclothedness and vulnerability than he was before.

God told man he will die in the day he eats of the tree God told him not to eat, but God did not also tell the man anything about the man's unclothedness or made it shameful to them. It was convenient to tell man he was going to die if he eats of the forbidden tree, than to tell man he would discover he's naked if he eats of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. That tree of knowledge of good and evil, forbidden to man by God, did not just expose things to man but exposed man to things. The knowledge that tree brought also came with vulnerability and dangerous risks.

Take this:
Do not throw away God's instructions for any knowledge, information or illumination. "For with much wisdom comes much sorrow, and as knowledge grows, grief increases." [Ecclesiastes 1:18].
