OGUN YOUTH CHAIRMAN PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO THE FAMILY OF LATE IYALODE ALABA LAWSON.

Ogun youth delegation led by the State Chairman of the Youth Council, Olóyè Akolawole Shoremi, on Wednesday November 1, 2023,paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Iyalode Alaba Lawson at her residence along Quarry Road, Abeokuta.

Mrs Lawson, who was until her death, the former National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, died in the early hours of Saturday October 28, 2023 at the age of 72.

In his address, the Youth Chairman described the deceased as a true Mother figure whose contributions to the society cannot be neglected.

“Late Iyalode wore several caps too numerous to mention; this alone is enough for her passage to permanently leave a vacuum in the hearts of so many Stakeholders.

“Notably among the things we reckon with is Iyalode’s matronage of the Nigerian Girls Guide Association — a member organization of the National Youth Council of Nigeria.

“We are therefore here today in recognition of the several roles she has played in her lifetime. Mama was obviously a Role Model of repute,” Shoremi said.

Receiving the youth Leader and his entourage, alongside other family members, Mr. Akin Lawson appreciated the youth leadership of Ogun State for the honour accorded to his Mother and the family. He stated that burial plans will be announced in due time with an invitation to the youth constituency.

Members of the delegation included the Vice—Chairman for Ogun West Senatorial District, Com. Kehinde Damilola; the Deputy Secretary, Com. Kehinde Ademuyiwa; the Auditor, Com. Okikiola Fayomi; the Assistant Programmes Officer, Com. Kayode Dahunsi; the Assistant Public Relations Officer, Com. Ayodele Oduala; the Assistant Secretary for Abeokuta North Local Branch, Com. Samsideen Bakare; Com. Giwa Muhammad and Com. Abiodun Oyewo.
