The truth is, Obi truly lost this election. If he had stayed in PDP, by now, Tinubu would be retired, because, let us be honest, let us strip away politics, APC had no business winning this election. 8 years of failure, a divided party, yet they won, because PDP got more divided than them, because Atiku was too egoistical to leave the stage for the youth, and because Obi did what Buhari did to ANPP in 2010...took a large part of the support base of PDP in the south and middle belt. (Add Benue where the people vote as they like).

Also, I am laughing at all those who claim to have lost hope in the government and electoral process. They should meet people like me...wey no like any main party since 1999.

But let's be frank, Tinubu should have lost this election. The oppositon gave it to him. And the annoying thing is that they do not want to admit their division. Instead they chase red herrings like the Tinubu certificate issue (yes, Tinubu forged the certificate, but he also did go to and graduate from the school whose certificate he forged. That's where the difficulty came in. Unlike Salisu Buhari who forged Toronto that he never went to). Abuja vote is not bigger than other votes, and so on. The fact is, Obi and Atiku should have been united. Instead they split the party, and the end result was a loss.

At the end, we have some 4 more years of APC. I blame Nigerians. And the scary thing? IF obi won, we would have had the same mess we are having now, not because Obi is dull, but because decades of borrowing and borrowing have led us to this impasse. Decades of not making the right choices...like removing subsidy in 2012, or improving tax revenue. And no, Obi cannot afford to keep fuel below N400 per liter because it would cost us too much money, and force him to borrow and borrow. Same thing for naira. And goodwill doent fix economies.

I hope the oppositon is united in 2027 to kick out APC, but then again, saying so makes you a tinubu supporter. LOL.

Obi did not rig in the SE. SE adopted OBI as their candidate, the same way the far North adopted Buhari from 2003 onwards..to the point that PDP was finding it difficult to win elections in the far North. (I always used to and still admire politicans from Kano, Jigawa, Sokoto, zamfara who back PDP. Espcecially in those days. It takes a man of courage.

SW did the same in 2003...for Obasanjo...which wiped out Tinubu's old party the AD. (Tinubu forming the ACN a few years later was the coup de grace . AD was deregistered a few years ago...a party that in 1999 fielded candidates nationwide).

It is because you Nigerians believe that if your son is in the villa, goodies are coming your way.
