Using GPU and data from the different books and web it cost millions of dollars. Hugging face is a models repository. You can host your endpoint on AZURE .

the data is easy to get for openai but not for customers. So if you are creating custom gpt where would you ger data to train the transfomer when you dont have access to data to do that.

U can use their api by coding from scratch or GPT builder to access such features it is for premium users .Anyone can easily build their own GPT no coding is required.
