The Commissioner of Police, Delta State, CP Wale Abass has charged residents to key into the Central Motor Registry to enhance their safety, the protection of vehicle and their owners. In a press statement signed by the Delta State Police Command Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright said, the Commissioner said this is in line with the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetoken’s mandate to advance more proactive measures in crime prevention and strengthening national security.

According to the statement, members of the public particularly residents in the Delta State should know that the revitalized and digitalized CENTRAL MOTOR REGISTRY (CMR) of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is active and operational in Delta State.

He said, the Central Motor Registry (CMR) was established over 60 years ago to keep track of motor vehicle information, and combat various vehicular crimes, such as car theft, snatching, kidnapping, carjacking, and hit-and-run incidents.
