She is not stopping the family of the husband from standing up to equally threaten action against the gal should she resort to violently abusing their son, is she?

She has done the right thing by standing in front of all the witnesses of the marriage to condemn violence against her daughter in that marriage and threatening action against the groom in the case that it happens.
