Joel Salifu Oyibo having emerged victorious as the Governor Elect in the just concluded Kogi state off-circle gubernatorial election held 11th November, 2023 under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).
Your victory is a victory for all Kogites irrespective of ethic, religious and political affiliations as it shows that the devine hand of the Almighty God is truly on our dear state. Your emergence is a major testament and pointer that politics today is tilting towards meritocracy not ethic, religious or political favouritism.
You contested the election against numerous sons of Kogi State to whom we have unalloyed confident that they also have the qualifications and the best interest of Kogi State at heart in rendering themselves for services and we believe they will continue to put the interest of our dear Kogi state first above personal interest and support your administration for the betterment of the state.
Your campaign promises of unity, economic development, Infrastructural development, security, healthcare, among others which encapsulate the yearnings of Kogites should be your administration working template, and we expect that you will hit the ground running as soon as your administration is inaugurated as you face this daunting and herculean task to build on the legacy of your principal, His Excellency, Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello. The governor, in no doubt has done exceedingly well in the areas of security, infrastructure and human capacity development. The task ahead is enormous but the fact that you have the support of the good people of Kogi state across the three senatorial districts should make the task a bit seamless for you and your cabinet and we hope that you will make Kogites proud.
